December 11

"Breathe my love, breathe." Santi attempted to calm me down as I felt my heartbeat flutter at full speed. He looked directly into my eyes as I tried to copy his breathing. 1. 2. 3. Breathe. 1. 2. 3. Breathe. 1. 2. 3. Breathe. "I'm okay, I'm okay," I say as he exhaled. "I'll tell you everything when we get home. I-I just need time to think about how to explain all this to you."

Santiago nodded his head as he stood up and helped me. We walked out of the beautifully lit restaurant and headed to his car, but not without him opening my door first. Slowly hopping in, my head hit the back of the seat, and closed my eyes. 'The only person who knows the entire story is Ariel. I'm so scared to tell Santi.' I didn't even notice I had spaced out until I felt a hand on my growing baby bump. "Are you okay, Mi Amore?" Santi looked at me again with soft eyes as I nodded. He vastly started the car up and zoomed away to our home.

20 Minutes Later...

I patted my wet hair down with a towel and slowly brushed the ends of my hair. I desperately needed a shower since my face was puffy and felt sweaty. The sudden movement in my belly caught me off guard and a loud gasp filled the room. Even though our beautiful Daughter was always active, it still surprises me every time. My hand slowly caresses my bump and lifts the silk pajama shirt I had on. She was getting bigger and bigger as each day came.

"You are gonna be a soccer player when you come out of my tummy, Mi Amor." It was as if she knew I was talking to her and proceeded to kick my rib cage. I winced in pain but kept my composure up since I didn't want Santi to hear me and get scared. My business in the bathroom was shortly done and headed into our room to see a shirtless, boxers, Santiago working on the bed with his computer on his lap. Man, if I wasn't almost 7 months pregnant then I would've jumped on his bones. "Cuddle with me, please?" Santi eyed me like a baby wanting his Mom and I obliged. He set his computer to the side as I got up on the bed and cuddle with him, tangled in his arms.
