Keith's Pov:
We are all having lunch now and discussing the competition for the 'battle of notes' concert.
"The second years don't seem to be much of a competition. I walked by their class this morning and from what i heard they half-ass their music" pidge says
"But they also wouldn't have been able to get into this school if they never put full effort in" hunk says
"Maybe they only put effort in where it counts" allura says
"Hey can i join you guys"
I turn round to see non other then zeke

Pidges Pov:
Lance looks to the group to confirm its OK and i nod at him. even if i don't want him to join he is lances friend
Besides this could be a good chance to learn more about this 'old friend' of lances
Zeke sits down on the other side of keith who had already claimed the seat next to lance.
The group doesn't seem too happy but i need to know if this 'old friend' could be a ship wrecker
I can already see Keith isn't happy about this guy sitting with us

Lances Pov:
After the group said zeke could join us zeke sits down next to keith with a smile
He joins our conversations about battle of notes but of course having an old friend that you haven't seen a while the conversation just changed to memories curtousy of zeke
He mentions the times when we used to go to the woods and pretend we were performing a concert using sticks and whatever else we could find
"Remember that time we even tried beat boxing to a pair of squirrels" zeke says which causes me to laugh as i remember how the squarells just stared at us like we were insane
My laughter is cut short however when i notice keith doesn't seem to happy. He looks...mad? Did i offend him somehow?
I hear the bell go for the end of lunch and the group all stand up and start heading off but i grab Keith's shoulders before he can leave
"Hey is everything alright mullet?" I asked with a worried look. Why wouldn't i be worried he is my boyfriend after all
"Yeah why wouldn't i be?" He says crossing his arms
"You just seemed...mad. Did i say something that offended you?" I ask looking to his space like eyes to look for a sign of lying or nervousness
"No you didn't say anything I've just got something on my mind right now" he says with a signature Keith smile
I just nod but its clear there is something wrong he isn't telling me

Keith Pov:
Me and lance decided to be a team for the 'battle of notes' so we are are currently practicing in a empty studio
We decided to take another song from my notebook called 'middle of the night' which we are trying for a more of rock sound so lance has to switch to an electric guitar for this one

After rehearsing a bit we decide to take a break
"Here you go sir Lancelot" i say doing a bow as i give a bottle of water to lance
"You're never going to drop that name are you" he says as he slides down the wall to sit
"Highly unlikely" i say with a smirk and shrug as i sit next to him
Its nice that we're finally able to talk with each other without pidge mocking us or zeke snatching his attention
Im snapped out by a pair of icy blue eyes staring at me curiously "what's on your mind mullet?" He asks
"Nothing i just...think its nice we've got a chance to hang out. Just us"
"Yeah same. Don't get me wrong zeke is my friend and I'm glad he's back" i feel a slight sting in my chest before he continues "but he can be a little too stuck in the past sometimes" he says with a sigh and i feel relieved somehow
"Yeah he talked about you guys alot.." I say looking down a bit
Lance is silent for a second before he bursts into laughter
"Hey what's so funny!"
"No way! Are you jealous mullet?" He says turning to me with a smirk
"As if" i say crossing my arms in protest
He stops laughing before he kisses my cheek "don't worry mullet i already got the best boyfriend" he says with a warm smile. Not a smug smirk like he usually does but a warm caring smile.
His smile is contagious as i feel my lips curl up into one as well. But i just have to
"You missed" i say as my smile turns into a smirk. He raises a brow in confusion before i tap my lips
It takes him a second to process it before he lights up red and i burst into a fit of laughter
My laughter is cut short however by his lips connecting with mine. I'm shocked at first but then kiss back. He seperates and looks away with a face pure red.
"Let's get back to practice" he says as he gets up hiding his face while he gets his guitar

I get up myself and head over to my drums.
Hey i did warn you it would take me a while to update if i even did update. And im just writing this as i go i don't know what going to happen next as much as you do. Im just trying to create drama and fluff 😂
