The boys and I walked into school the following Monday morning. I hadn't had a chance to catch up with Riley seeing as Henry and his boys were lingering around the house. The date was strange. Seeing another guy with Riley really put things into perspective for me..

"I can't believe she's really moving on already? It's only been what? A month?" Hunter groaned, he really hadn't let it go since we went to the diner. We tried getting him to go somewhere with Beck but she was busy with her Nana

"Dude, it was one date" I said but he rolled his eyes
"Exactly, it's not like she's jumped into a relationship with him" Eldon said making Hunter scoff 
"Explain that then?" He scowled making us look across the corridor to see Emily walking next to Henry with his arm around her waist 
While Riley trailed behind with Jackson's arm flung around her shoulder while they laughed at something 

I was officially lost 

Why the hell was this still continuing. I thought it was a date and that was it.. Now? Not I'm not so sure you know

Lunchtime rolled around and we were sat on our usual table, Emily and her friends were on Henry's table but Riley was nowhere to be seen
And what is worse is that Jackson was nowhere to be seen either 

"Look who it is" Hunter growled watching Riley and Jackson sit down at her new table that she's been sat at since the break up
"Hunter, love. Please just give the girl a break" Becky said trying to calm her 

I glanced back over at Riley to catch her gaze for a second, her eyes looked at mine smiling but her lips not moving, I nod my head inside making her furrow her brows and soon head inside excusing herself from Jackson

As soon as I walked into the corridor, I was instantly pulled into an empty classroom by Riley. Now her lips were smiling but I was far from doing that

"What's wrong?" She asked making me raise a brow
"What's wrong? Riley you've been walking around all over some guy all bloody day" I said raising my voice, Riley looked at me taking a step back looking at me confused

"James listen" she started but I shook my head
"What's the point in a fake relationship when you're going to act like your in love with another guy?" I spat making her gasp slightly 

"What are you saying?" She asked making me look at her
I didn't know what I was saying if I'm honest.. It was hard seeing Riley in the arms of another guy 

"Jackson offered to help us seeing as he had the same situation with his girlfriend a few years ago" she explained making me scoff
"you really think I believe that Riley?" I asked

"what guy who is friends with Henry! Would want to help up, better yet help you" I said instantly making her eyes soften to the point a couple tears were brimming 

"What" She asked making me roll my eyes
"I never thought you could be as oblivious as Emily Riley." I growled
"What are you doing" She asked looking at me as one single tear fell

"What does it matter to you. You're a free woman" I said motioning to her to use the door
"You're breaking up with me?" She asked with her voice breaking
"You did that for me a couple weeks ago Riley" I said looking her up and down

"James don't do this" She begged reaching out to me
It brought back everything I felt that night in her room..

I closed my eyes tightly avoiding her touch
"Go find your new boy" I said opening the door for her..
