James

Jackson and I walked over to the table and the moment we did. Emily's expression shifted to confused while Henry's remained amused
"Boys" He chuckled
Emily locked eyes on me and for the first time in a while, she looked at is she was genuine concerned

"What is going on James?" Emily said addressing me making Henry roll his eyes
"Em, we've warned you already but I think it's time you need to come to your senses" i said making her look even more taken back

"Henry over here, isn't a nice guy" Jackson said looking his friend up and down
"Oo Jackson, what a good friend you" Henry chuckled throwing his arm over Emily's chair
"Emily, he's using you. The plan is that he's going to make you embarrass yourself at Nationals then the moment you do, you'll be off the team" Henry said making Emily look at Henry who shook his head at her

"You wouldn't do that would you?" she asked him making me scoff a little
"never Emmy" Henry answered, that pet name making me single handedly sick to my stomach

"James, this who charade is getting a little tiresome" Emily finished making my heart sink. She wasn't about to believe us, whatever his pull on her was.. The roots were in deep

"How about the fact that Henry is the reason James and Riley broke up. He threatened Riley by saying he would make your life hell Emily. I get you don't believe them but why would I have a reason to lie to you?" Jackson said
"After all, this is not his first rodeo" Jackson said making Emily look at him concerned

"Are you still so butthurt about your girlfriend? You two were toxic as hell man. I didn't do shit" He said making me scoff

"Riles?" Emily said rising to her feet drawing everyone's attention. Riley stood up looking at her sister before bowing her head
Riley had never been one for confrontation..

"Look, she can't even look at you Emily. It's clearly not true" Henry laughed making my hands form a fist, I looked back at Riley before she sighed walking over to us both standing directly in the middle of Jackson and I

"Emily, you told me you would believe me and I'm telling you. This guy is the most vindictive, vile human beings I've ever met" Riley said glaring at Henry

"Oh boo hoo Riley, you just don't like that Emily has been better off without you by her side" Henry argued making Riley's breath hitch

I looked over at her to see her breathing picking up, she was about to crack. I shook my hand intertwining our hands as Henry shook his head at us both

"You don't like that since Emily hasn't had her little sheep following her around, she is flourishing, she is so much better off with out the likes of you" Henry smirked making Riley's grip on my hand tighten
"quit it" Jackson spat taking one look at Riley
"Don't you dare say another fucking word to her" I growled pulling Riley behind me slightly

"Some things never change Riley, you've always got to find someone else to fight your battles" Henry laughed
That was the last straw for a lot of things. Riley let go of my hand causing my attention to shift to her as I watched her run away

The thought of chasing after her was highest on my list but I needed to finish this first. I can't have this all for nothing..

"Emily, I'm begging you to stop being so oblivious. This guy has done so much behind your back and your accepting it" I said
"He's not a nice guy and you are his next target" Jackson said

Emily gazed over at Henry who shook his head flashing a flirty smile making Emily smile too before turning back to us

"Boys, this isn't going to work. I don't know what West or Riley has been saying to you but Henry isn't that guy anymore. I don't want to hear another word from either of you about it" She growled making me shake my head

"Emily you are playing the fool" I said making her shake her head
"No James, you are" she spat

I looked at Jackson who shook his head knowing that this was now a losing battle, we shook our heads retreating.
"Oh and in case you didn't get the hint Jackson" Henry said making us look over our shoulder

"You're off the team" He chuckled sitting back down
