Riley

"Please Becky you have to get her to talk to me" I heard James bed at the not not even 10 minutes later. I should have seen this coming. I should never have believed Emily, I should never have let James in. I shouldn't have trusted anyone..

"James that isn't going to be on the table for a while. You kissed her sister for god sake!" Becky exclaimed
"I didn't! She kissed me then as I went to push her away, she pulled away herself and walked back-" He started
"James I don't want to hear it." Becky said then with one final noise, I heard the door close and knew it was only a moment of time before Becky was back here in the room

"Hey" She said offering me a sympathetic smile that I nodded towards as she came and took a seat next to me on the bed
"How are we doing?" She asked making me shrug

I didn't know how to feel, I didn't know what to do, what to say.
I wanted to hear him out but at the same time I didn't. Who knows what he could come out with

I thought that with everything James and I had been through, we were good, we were golden. I thought that there wouldn't be anything we couldn't through but now? Now Im not so sure..

The next morning came around faster then I had wanted. I felt like I barely had the time to process what happened
I walked out of the room early the next morning, I figured a walk around the block my help me cope with today.
Avoiding James wasn't really an option seeing as the pair of us are paired together for most of the Semi Routine..

"Ri" I heard his voice say the moment I got outside, I turned to see James slowly walking out the door next to me
He looked at me and I could tell by the expression on his face, he hadn't slept at all

"Please just talk to me, let me explain" He said taking a step towards me but the moment he did I took an even bigger step backwards

"James I can't, I-" I started before glancing behind him to see Emily with Henry. My jaw dropped a little before glancing over at James

"Now will you let me explain?" He mumbled making me sigh and nod, clearly there was more to it then what met the eye

We had only just mended the bridge with Emily and she had somehow found a way to burn it all over again, except this time.. I don't know if there is a comeback for her

James and I walked in silence until we came to a small bench just down the road from the hotel, the level of awkwardness in the air right now was a new level for the pair of us
In our entire relationship we had never had any awkward tension but this was something I don't think would just go away with a simple explanation

"I promise you, I didn't kiss her Riley" James said making me snap out of my train of through
"James I saw it" I said watching as James nodded
"We were talking about you and then Henry appeared, then you and Beck appeared. Emily said that she was sorry and then she kissed me" James said

"Why didn't you push her away?" I said my voice breaking every so slightly

"before I even had the chance to, she had pulled away herself and you were gone" He continued
"You have to know I would never do that to you Ri" He said attempting to place his hands on mine but I was quick to move them out of the way

"Riley please" he said, his eyes watering
"James I don't know what to believe anymore" I confessed watching as his brown eyes looks like I had just broken his heart

"Ri" He whispered
"I want to say that you would never do that to me but it's still so fresh that I can't even process it yet" I explained
"I need time, I need space and most importantly.. I need to steer clear of Emily" I whispered glancing up to see Emily stood there with Henry's arm around her

"I love you" James whispered making me snap my gaze back to her
"if you can't believe anything, please at least believe that Riley" he said placing his hands on mine again but this time I didn't move them away

He looked up at me with a hopeful gaze as he leant forward but I shook my head before turning away so his lips made contact with my cheek instead

"If time and space is what you need Ri, I'll give it to you but please come and talk to me when you're ready?" James asked and with one final nod he was on his feet walking away
