It had become quite awkward between the uncle and nephew, and only the sounds of Esta shuffling around were to be heard.
Amar still hadn't gotten the point. Was he really that dense? Anastacius sighed. "You'll infiltrate the palace by becoming a servant. Or a knight. Whatever you think would suit you best." He finally answered. Anastacius heard a mumble, probably Amar taking in the new information. The boy looked up, for probably the thousandth time that day.
Amar had so dearly wanted revenge, his newfound goal. But the more he thought about it, the plan seemed to be a bit wacky. Even if he did break in, what was he supposed to do then? What if someone had recognised him? Amar didn't have many friends, probably none at all, in fact, but he was still the former prince of Obelia. If Amar did successfully infiltrate the palace, what was he supposed to do then? Kill Claude? Climb the hierarchy? How was he even supposed to that anyways? Amar was never anything special, he didn't even have a hobby. All he did was work and work to try and please his father. That got him nowhere.
"What then?" Amar asked, making Anastacius grimace. The older mans plan only stopped at getting Amar to his side. It was stupid, honestly, but Anastacius was in a rush. He had no desire for the throne himself, but for Claude to get off the throne. The emperor would only be a hinderance to future plans, even if they were brothers.
"Just- become close to Claude." He answered, and this time, Amar grimaced. He loved his father before, and he probably still did now, but negative emotions were always stronger than positive, weren't they? Amar loved his father as much as he now hated him. Getting close to the man was not in his bucket list, and he did not want to do it.
"Is there any other way?" Amar asked. There probably wasn't, seeing how the plan was centred on getting rid of the emperor himself, but another opportunity would be quickly accepted.
Anastacius sighed. The boy was willing to do anything else, wasn't he? "Unfortunately not." The uncle said.
So that was it. Amar was going to have to get close to the cruel emperor, and become cruel himself. Disguises were common in Obelia, So detection magic was most definitely a danger. How was he going to avoid that? Amar supposed he'd have to get rid of magic itself. That'd probably harm the economy of Obelia, but it would be most efficient. But to that, he would have to get rid of Lucas, the imperial wizard.
Lucas was often thought to be a lone man with a disgusting personality, just because he was not social. Amar had only seen him once, eyeing out his sister on Claude's birthday banquet. Amar thought those two were greatly alike, and that they'd get along. He wanted to reach out to the wizard, though he had no courage for such as task. Amar ended up cowering behind Claude the whole time, probably ruining the banquet itself, though Claude did not object his sons company. When Claude could tolerate Amar.
It was going to be a hard journey.
