I woke up to my mother banging on my door, "Olivia, you're going to be late for school! Get up now!" She shouted through the door.

I woke up suddenly in what felt like an unfamiliar place until I realised Joe was still beneath me.

"I'm coming!" I shouted back quickly to my mum to stop her coming into my room, this was the last thing she needed to see.

Joe was still asleep somehow. He looked peaceful in sleep but I had no time to admire him. I shook him awake.

"What?" He said too loudly I shoved my hand over his mouth.

He realised where he was and his eyes widened.

"We fell asleep." I whispered taking my hand away from his mouth.

"What time is it?"

"My mums just woke me for school."

He swore. I nodded. Not only was my house awake so it was going to be difficult to get him out, his house was going to be awake too.

"I'll be back in a minute." I said to him.

"I need to get home before anyone realises I'm gone."

"One minute."

I run across the hallway to the bathroom. Everyone's in the kitchen.

"Olivia are you coming for breakfast?" My dad shouts up.

"Yeah, just coming!" I try to sound casual, like I don't have a boy in my room. I pause to double check that I can hear Ethan and my mums voice in the kitchen and then run back to my room.

"Ok." I say, "everyone's in the kitchen. This'll be fine. Let me quickly get changed into my uniform. We can go downstairs together. You sneak out the front, I go into the kitchen, no one is the wiser." I run around my room collecting my school uniform.

Joe nodded.

"Turn around." I said to Joe once I am ready to get changed.

"Seriously?" He asked.

"We don't have time for this!" I replied making a twirling motion with my fingers.

He did as I asked and I quickly got changed.

"I'd let you watch me get changed." He whispered as we left me room.

"That's so kind." I whispered as we got to the top of the stairs. I paused and listened, everyone was still in the kitchen.

We crept down the stairs. I opened the front door gently, pulled him in for a kiss then pushed him out with a smile and a wave and closed the door as gently as I could and walked into the kitchen.

"Was that the door?" My dad asked me as I sat down and was given some toast by my mum.

"I don't think so?" I shot him a confused look.

He shook his head like he just have made it up and I hid my smile.

When Joe walked into class that day he walked in with a smile. He hadn't got caught then. I shot him a questioning look when he sat down next to me.

"They noticed I was gone." He said, he sounded proud.

I instantly filled with worry, "oh god! Are you ok?"

"Don't worry," he said quickly, "I told them I was out on a morning run." He grinned like he was the smartest person to ever live.

"And they believed that?" I was shocked.

"Well I did look like I'd been running," he shrugged, "I ran home."

I laughed, I couldn't help it.

That evening after dinner when Ethan asked me if I was coming with him to the youth centre I hesitated, I realised I didn't know what to do. Joe and I hadn't discussed it.

"No." I said, there would be no way Michelle would go back round there again, would she, two nights in a row? And Joe wouldn't be totally forgiven, allowed out as he pleased.

I walked down Joe's street and froze. I had been wrong. Michelle would go back two nights in a row. Walking straight at me were Michelle and Joe.

I thought I had the chance to run away before they noticed me but Joe called out for me to join them. Michelle didn't look pleased.

I walked up to them, "I didn't think you'd make it out today." I said to Joe shooting Michelle a side look.

"Mrs Boyd would never let you in her house." Michelle said to me sticking her nose in the air slightly.

I was just surprised she talked to me at all.

"I know." Was all I said back.

We walked on in silence.

Michelle didn't seem to deal well with silence, "I wanted Joe to take me into Birmingham, but he seems to love that old youth centre so much." She said to no one in particular.

I knew Joe didn't love the youth centre that much, he was the first to suggest the group leave it and go find somewhere else to hang out.

"I take it you've never even been into Birmingham city?" Michelle asks me like going to Birmingham is the best thing in the world.

"Just once." I think to when Joe brought me with a smile, "I'd like to go back though." I look at Joe. He nodded at me.

We made it to the youth centre where a group of girls caught Michelle's attention.

"I'll see you later, Joe?" She asked.

"Errr sure." He replied.

She then gave him a hug, ignored me and sauntered off to her friends.

"That wasn't too bad." Joe said.

"That was horrible!" I replied.

This became a habit. I stopped going to Joe's house to meet him.
