Chapter 1:first day of school

Growing up I always knew I was different from my younger siblings. I had abilities I was forced to hide by my father. I was told many times is was my job to protect them at any cost.

However Last summer I failed. My parents got in a car accident along with Elena, my sister and they didn't make it. It left us all devastated and I couldn't help but just watch how my family destroyed themselves from the inside out. What's the point of my power if I couldn't even protect my family in the time of need.

With nothing else to do I watched Jeremy turn to drugs and Elena shut herself off while our aunt took custody. You would think time would heal wounds but how long does it truly take.

Even now as I sat in the kitchen eating breakfast I watched Jenna rush around the kitchen and Elena try to mother Jeremy. Honestly I thought it was a bit much. She needed to focus on healing herself before trying to push herself on another.

I could already see an argument brewing making me sigh. "Ok you two, school is not gonna wait for you guys, elena your rides most likely outside, I'll take Jeremy and our dear Aunty. " getting up I smiled at her frantic state"has a meeting to get to so everybody out"

Grabbing my bag i ushered everyone out before driving Jeremy to school. Getting out I quickly grabbed Jeremy before he rushed off."I know your tired of elena pestering you so I'm not going to do it I'll just leave you with a promise" I couldn't help but smile at his confused face before I glared down at him "no drugs at school or you gotta deal with me after school"

"That's a threat" Jeremy eyes were wide at this point and it amused me to no end

"No dear brother it's a promise remember, your grades are slipping and I'll be damned if your held back a grade. I don't give a damn what you do outside of school cause honestly your gonna do what you want it's how your grieving so I'll give you a break but In school is the No zone bud " with that I left him there and went inside. I was instantly met with Tyler and Matt.

"We got practice after school and you both better show up" I joked nudging Tyler and Matt to the sides both of them laughed it off and followed me down the hall

"Where else would I be" Tyler mused. Like always Tyler had on his football jacket  and jeans. The dude loved the game but would skip once in awhile

"Oh I don't know fucking Matt's sister under the bleachers" I ran just as Matt lunged at me

"Dude that my sister " he yelled running after me followed by a laughing Tyler

"It's not my fault she's getting some, you should be attacking the one banging her" just as the words left my mouth did I hear a thud and Tyler complaining about how heavy matt was.

Laughing I quickly made my way to class. It was my senior year and I had to keep my grades up. I was ready to get out of here and start my life.
