Chapter 19: kids

Leaving Enzo with Vicki who was more than happy to have company I left to go back home. At this point I might as well adopt all the damn vampires in mystic falls. Open up a vampire orphanage or some shit while I'm at it.

"New friend?" In all his glory Elijah sat in my passenger seat while I on the other almost swerved off the road

"Just cause you got vampire speed don't mean you fucking use it" I snapped quickly pulling over.

"It's the whole perk of being a vampire, would be a shame if I didn't use it" he was calmly staring at me, amusement dancing in his eyes

"Lucky you" I mumbled glancing towards the empty roads ahead of me.

"Yes well there's a dinner party I'm going to. Your sister is hosting knowing anything about it"

Shrugging I pulled out my phone. Not a single message was there. "Not a damn clue, good luck with that dinner party though"

I had no reason to go cause honestly it's fuck them at this point. I was ready to to leave this town behind and go to Vegas or some shit.

"Very well then, I will see you later" I snapped my head in his direction confused on what he meant but he was already gone.

Why did he have such an interest in me?

Why did I care about him even the tiniest bit?

Many questions that had zero answers to them and the only one who had answer to them was gone to play dinner host party with my sister. Sighing I turned my car around and went to the grill. There was no way I was going to that dinner party. Every person I hate was most likely going to be there in one room and I could make no promises of any would make it out alive.

Getting to the grill I instantly saw Vicki sitting with Enzo. Didn't I tell them to stay at the house?

Kid don't listen I swear

Walking to there booth I sat down shooting a glare towards the both of them"I should ground the both of you right now"

I feel like a father at this point.

"I was hungry " Vicki shrugged taking a bite out of her fry.

Enzo on the other hand smiled at me"she said it was ok"

"Snitch"

"It was quiet obvious Vicki. He does not know his way around yet." Rolling my eyes I stole a fry from her plate

"That's mine" she was pouting now glaring at me as she shielded the rest of her fries from me."it's just one fry Vic " she didn't care even going as far as to climb over Enzo to get further away from me

"Anyways what are your plans Enzo" I turned to the older male who looked more lost then anything

"I plan to stay with my savior. I won't cause trouble I promise " giving me a smile he seemed innocent but I knew better. I saw his files and even if I didn't he was still an unknown vampire

"Your do as I ask" it won't a question and he knew it. Vicki listened to me for the most part and if I was to let him stay around I needed to know he would too. I didn't need extra trouble

"Yes I promise. You saved me and I am in debt to you"

Not finding in fault in him I nodded. I'll let him stay for now until he became an issue that is.

Getting up to leave I felt a sharp pain in my chest. It was as if someone had stabbed me. It had me doubling of clutching my chest"William!"
