This was the question I was praying they wouldn't ask.
"Uh, you know, the physics are good."
"The history is also good." Adora said, I mentally slapped myself.
"Uh... I thought you were an art major?"
"Uh, she's a double major. Like Claire."
"Uh, yes. History, art, art history, that's three. I'm a triple major. I also teach, unless that's not a thing students do."
"Adora, shut up." She immediately stopped talking after I said that. Which I was very very grateful for.
"So, for school, heh, we got this First Ones puzzle to solve. The last word is giving us trouble. Have you ever heard of Serenia?" Another thing I was excluded on, great.
"Ooh!" Lance dumped all these scrolls and other things on a table. "Serenia was the name of a mythical First Ones hero."
"Although some of us think she was a real person."
"Some of us think the Elberon vase dates back only one millennia."
"I believe it does only date back one millennia. I took a look at that vase. With something that in shape it is probably only one millennia." I said.
"I love that Bow has a friend studying history." George said.
"Is this everything you have on Serenia?" Bow asked.
"Oh, no. I'm so sorry. Ha, ha. Everything from the first floor l. There's more on the second."
"This is gonna take hours." Glimmer whined.
"Hours, days, maybe weeks. And if you're really lucky, it might take you a whole lifetime."
"Oh. You're so corny."
"Well, this one's just about aqueducts, so, it's mislabeled."
I took a peek at the scroll, "oh, ya it is only about aqueducts."
Lance and George quickly came over to us, "wait, you girls can read First Ones writing?" We we're in for some fun.
