"Giyu?" You tilt your head in confusion when you see the water Hashira leaning against your house, his arms crossed as he stares off into the distance. Upon hearing your voice he turns to look at you, a hint of a smile on his face for a second before it disappears. You stop walking once in front of him. "What are you doing here?"

He uncrosses his arms as he pushes off of your home to stand up straight. "I came to invite you to the theatre with me. I received two tickets earlier and have nobody else to go with."

"Really?" You know it's unlikely that he even asked anybody else to go with him. You know that a lot of the other Hashira tend to tease him more than anything- mostly Shinobu. You're likely his one and only option. "I'd love to go with you. When is the show?"

"In a few hours." He looks off to the side, a very slight blush on his cheeks. "I'm sorry for being a bit last minute with inviting you."

"It's fine." You wave your hand, laughing a small bit which surprises him. In all these months he's never really seen you laugh or anything like that. "Let me go get changed into something more appropriate and then we can leave."

You slip into your home, leaving him waiting outside as you search for something proper to wear. You've never gone to the theatre before but you do know you're supposed to look presentable there. It's at this moment that you silently thank the girls for forcing you to go shopping for nicer clothing. After a few moments of searching through the clothes you have yet to remove from their bags you find a suitable kimono to wear. Quickly, you slip it on before checking to make sure your hair isn't a hot mess. Satisfied, you finally exit your home.

"You look beautiful." Giyu speaks up the second you step into view, his eyes unashamedly scanning your looks.

"Thank you." You follow after him as he leads you towards a carriage you hadn't noticed before. "How long were you waiting for me to come home?" You tilt your head curiously as you look at him. He stops for a moment, offering you his hand to help you up into the carriage before getting in after you.

"Not very long. Only an hour or so." He shrugs, looking nonchalant as he stares out the window once the carriage begins moving.

You raise a brow, knowing an hour is definitely a long time to be waiting around for someone- especially when you have no clue as to when they'll be home or whether or not they're even returning. "I apologize for making you wait so long. I probably would've been home sooner but I lost track of time."

He turns to look at you. "What were you busy with?"

Hesitating, you awkwardly look away. "I was Kyojuro."

"Rengoku?" His eyes widen just a tiny bit before returning to his rather neutral look. "What were the two of you doing?"

"We were on a date." You decide to simply tell him the truth. Despite Giyu never giving you the impression that he likes you in such a way, you don't want to lie to him about such things in case he does. Kyojuro may have been perfectly fine with you dating others while also dating him, but that doesn't mean the others will feel the same. Despite knowing others might disagree, you want to be upfront and honest. Though, as of the moment there's only two people who you know are interested in you in such ways.

Giyu nods in understanding, though he doesn't look upset or anything like that. "I can't say I'm very surprised that he managed to convince you to go on a date with him. He can be very persistent when it comes to things he wants."

"Is this a date?" You question, wanting to hear him say it instead of jumping to conclusions.

Giyu seems to ponder for a moment before turning to meet your gaze. "I would like it to be a date, yes. Do you want it to be one?"
