Chapter 19-Silk

Rose's POV

I was awoken to cheers coming from the kitchen. I rolled over in search of Danny, who was not there. I wrapped in a blanket and started going towards the kitchen.

"Rose!" I heard Josh and Danny shout in unison, both of them charging towards me before wrapping me in a hug. I stood there in shock as they squeezed me,

"What is going on?" I asked through a small giggle, they both had giant smiles on their faces. Danny ran back over and started talking to Jake,

"We got an offer to join the band we opened for last night for the rest of their tour." Josh said with a big grin,

"Oh my gosh congrats thats a big opportunity!" I said loud enough for everyone to hear,

"It is, we are all very excited. Sorry if we woke you" He said as he softly caressed the side of my face,

"Don't apologize, you guys are excited" I said as I took his hand,

"We have to head out early from the cabin now, so can everyone go get ready to leave?" Jake said as he walked past to his room, dragging Megan behind him

"What? Why do we have to leave here early?" I asked as I glanced between Josh and Danny, who had now come back over to me,

"Well, we have to get back home and pack...because we leave in 2 days" Danny said quietly,

"2 days? What about your classes? How long will you be gone?" I said, neither spoke but their faces had dropped like they were dreading this part,

"I will figure out my classes, I will either drop them or change to online classes" Danny shrugged, avoiding the question I really wanted the answer for

"How long will you be gone?" I asked again,

"Almost 2 months" Josh said finally, and I felt my stomach drop. "We get back 2 days before Christmas"

"Thats such a long time," I said as I looked down to the ground, "But I am so happy for you both, and I can't wait to see how much fun the both of you have." I forced a smile,

"Danny and I were talking before the tour, about you maybe coming home with us to Frankenmuth for Christmas" Josh said glancing to Danny,

"He's right, and now it would mean even more to us if you came, that way we wouldn't have to wait until after Christmas to see you." Danny added, placing hair behind my ear,

"I have always spent Christmas with Lucas and his family since my parents passed, but I'm sure they would understand" I said, no hesitation at all,

"I didn't know about your parents," Josh said softly,

"I didn't either" Danny replied, their voices both laced with sympathy

"It's not a big deal, they've been gone for a long time." I just wanted to change the subject, "Who would I spend Christmas with?"

"We were thinking you'd spend Christmas eve with me, and Christmas with Danny?" Josh suggested,

"I guess that sounds fun, I'd love to" I said smiling,

"I'm going to go pack so we can head out" Danny said before walking off to my room,

"I was hoping to spend some time with you before we leave, are you free tomorrow night?" Josh asked, pulling me closer now that no one else was around

"I am free, what did you have in mind?" I asked grinning up at him

"Thats for me to know, and you to find out" He said before kissing my nose and walking off to his room. I walked to my room and saw Danny facing away from me and folding a shirt. I walked up behind him and wrapped my arms around his middle,
