Year 850: The Return From Shiganshina,
A lot happened in the Walls after you and Annie escaped. The Beast Titan's Attack, Reiner and Bertolt's escape, and finally the political uprising where the false king and his council were overthrown.
Having returned from Shiganshina, you and Annie were pardoned after the Trial and reinstated into the military. Now that you're a Squad Captain, you're responsible for the safety and wellbeing of your entire squad. With that in mind, how will you approach the task of reclaiming Wall Maria from the titans?
CLARIFICATIONS: To avoid unnecessary repetition of known information, this story will assume that the reader has watched/read Attack on Titan. That said, I'll include some background to the events in these introductory chapters explaining any changes or deviations from the canon timeline.
01. In the canon timeline, Nifa was shot in the head and killed by Kenny Ackerman. This time however, thanks to the information you shared with Hange in Stohess, they take precautions ahead of time and the events play out slightly different. When Kenny attacks, Levi manages to push Nifa just in time. The bullet grazes her head and injures her, but doesn't kill her.
02. In the canon timeline, Eren receives the Attack Titan's future memories during the award ceremony. In this timeline, the award ceremony itself doesn't happen because you and Annie were the ones to Reclaim Shiganshina.
03. Moreover, the timeline had deviated too far from the Attack Titan's memories of the previous one. The paradox created by the contradictions interfere with the Attack Titan's future sight, so Eren only receives some fragments of his memories that weren't enough to convince him to commit global genocide.
04. It didn't make sense how the Survey Corps kept losing members, yet in the next arc they have an entire army. (Possible that they were transferred from other Regiments) So in this timeline, after the massive casualties suffered in the 57th Expedition, the Beast Titan's attack and the Political uprising, the Survey Corps had shrunk down to just three squads. It was also why the Commander made you a squad captain.
