-(Blake POV)-

The forest was quite thick.
The motorcycle ran out of fuel, so I left it outside the forest.

I was walking there aimlessly, trying to find orienteers.

I only had my gear on and my backup knife, no weapons.
I lost the guard's gun while escaping.

It was midday.
The sky was cloudy.

Anthros had sent a few vehicles searching for me.
Luckily, they only searched the outskirts of the forest and went on for further search.

I was wandering in the forest, trying to come up with something.

The forest was starting to blend into plains.

In the distance, I saw a black, weird-shaped object.

My curiosity got me and I went that way.

It was a blown-up military humvee.
There were small, what seemed like bullet holes in its frame.

I looked around and saw several other scattered blown-up cars.

After following this trail, I stumbled upon a rather large, abandoned military base that was in the center of the forest.

The base was very torn up.

It wasn't hard to realize that this was a result of a massive raid.

Blake
- I think I can rest a little here. But first, I need to recon this place. Just in case.

With these thoughts, I entered it.

I had nothing on me, so I need to be careful.

Destroyed walls and buildings.

Dead bodies of both anthros and humans scattered all over the place.
And none of them had any weapons.
Great...

Different rooms that were obliterated with gunfire and explosives.

I entered an extensive room, which had a lot of debris on the other end.

*CREEEEK*

Blake
- Huh?

The floor was rusty and bent a little under my weight.

I took another step.
Judging from the sound the floor was making, it was thin.
