-(Dex's POV)-
Yet another sleepless night in my cell.
Only occasional footsteps of night guards passing by.
Blake and Ryan already headed off to the anthro prison.
The anthro advised us to stay in our cells just in case something happens.
I was worried about Blake.
If he is not careful enough, heck, even if he somehow gets detected, I was sure he could just brute force his way outta here, although I hadn't seen what his suit was truly capable of.
What was bothering me was the reasons why they hadn't killed Kendra and just tossed her here instead.
Mike
- Can't sleep, my lovely cellmate? - the ex-hacker snapped me out of my thoughts.Dex
- ...I just looked at him, which silently answered his question.
The dark circles under his eyes were showing how tired he was.
And they were quite noticeable over his rather pale skin.
Mike
- Worried about your friend?Dex
- *sigh* ...Yeah...Silence.
Mike
- ...Me too - His answer brought up questions.Dex
- ...You too? Why do you care about him? For you, he is just a crucial tool, an essential part of your "revolution" plan, isn't he?Mike
- How did you two meet?Huh. Did not expect him to be interested in us, that's for sure.
Dex
- ...Why do you care all of a sudden?Mike
- I wanna know who I am working with.Mike
- *chuckle* And our plan might fail just like pineapple on pizza - it was obvious that the prison was having a toll on his mental health, as the pain could be felt in his tired voice.Dex
- *sigh* Be my guest... It happened 4 years ago.*Flashback Start, 4 Years Ago*
It was evening.
I was chilling in my dorm, wondering what can I do during my rare free time.
