Chapter 12: The game

After hours and hours of quidditch practise Friday came quicker then ever. Athena started walking down the hallway as slytherins would give her dirty looks as they other teams gave happy smiles, she tried to avoid the slytherins but it almost seemed impossible. She was walking down the street as Evan Rosier was walking the opposite way and winked at her "good luck today think you'll need it" he looked down at her wrist and walked away.

At they end of the day Athena made sure to go and see Marlene, Marlene gave her a happy cheer Anne wraps her arms around her "your going to be brilliant okay?" She reassures her "your one of the best quidditch players I know" she nods "we're all rooting for you. She turns and lily and the boys walk out with blue painted on their faces
Athena couldn't believe seeing the boys support Ravenclaw, she couldn't help but smile "Oh my god" she laughed "you guys really didn't have too"
Sirius wraps his arm around her "of corse we did, I also wanted to annoy the slytherins to see Gryffindors on your side" he whispers
Remus smiles "even if you don't win"
Sirius interrupts him "don't doubt her Moony"
"No I'm saying, even if you don't win we won't care okay ?" Remus nods
"WHERES RABBIT" Richard comes running down the hallway "THERE YOU ARE" he reaches to Athena and grabs her hand "I've been looking for you everywhere" he looks up at everyone to see the blue all over the boys faces "oh you alright boys, nice faces" he smiles "I like the" he moves his hand around there faces "blue" he turns back to Athena "are you feeling good"
She nods "yes are you?"
"Meh, come on let's go, I'll see you boys later" he points at everyone "Marlene" he winks at her as she rolls her eyes
Athena and Richard start sprinting to the pitch"She's never going to be interested rich" Athena says.
"Worth a shot right".

Athena and Richard get out too the pitch and the game begins. Athena was face to face with Lucius Malfoy he grits his teeth at her
The game begins and Athena begins her search for the snitch, she saw regulus catch and fled past him.
"Ravenclaw at 150 and slytherin at 100, we better find that snitch soon" a person from the crowd says. After about 10 minutes Athena finally saw the snitch floating above Lucius's head Athena flew as fast as she could and put out her hand to grab the snitch as Lucius lets out a scream thinking she was going to knock him off his broom he flys away and knocks into another Slytherin player knocking him off his broom. Athena felt her hands grasp around the snitch
"MCKINNON HAS GRABBED THE SNITCH SHES DONE IT" Remus yells in the mic. She flew down as Richard jumps off his broom and flings his arms around Athena jumping
"WE DID IT WE BEAT EM" he screams from the top of his lungs.

The rest of the ravenclaw quidditch team all gave Athena a hug all celebrating. Athena looked over and saw Lucius talking to Evan Rosiar and Snape "she's a blood traitor did you see the way she flung herself at me I could have got seriously injured" he complains
Evan pats him on the back "it's not your fault mate"
Lucius looked back at Athena and got an idea, he turns back to the boys "look at her I bet that cup she's going to win is the most expensive thing she's ever touched in her pathetic life" he spits "her father can't even help her, he's helping muggles" he shakes his head "he's pathetic"
Athena felt her stomach turn, she started to walk over "oi Malfoy what are you saying about my father?" She stood close to him and looked at him dead in they eyes
Evan looks at her "it's nothing Athena just walk away"
Lucius stops Evan "I said that your fathers a disgrace to wizard kind" he walks closer to Athena with a grin on his face "what are you going to do about it cry?"
Richard starts to walk over "what's going on here" Richard stands next to Athena looking at all of the boys
Lucius grins at Athena "I'm talking about Athena and her blood traitor family" Lucius looks at Richard
Athena got closer to malfoy "Say another word about my family Malfoy and you'll end up in the hospital wing"
Richard points at Lucius "I beg your pardon it looked like Thena over here kicked your tiny blonde ass a minute ago mate" he still points his finger
Evan rosier looks at him "stay out of it mate" trying not to laugh
Richard says in a higher pitch tone "I will certainly not" he puts his hand on Athena's shoulder "this here is a very important lady to me and I will not let a bunch of snobby no good bitches try to get in her way"
Lucius raises his eyebrows "what did you say?" He looks back at Richard
"I said" before Richard can finish.
"Athena" the mauraders come behind her
Remus looks at them "ignore them Athena there all pathetic"
Lucius grins "Your fathers a mudblood and always will be a mudblood and so are you" he laughs
Athena felt her fist tighten trying not to swing it malfoys way "I'll show you what a mudblood can do if you really want malfoy"
Remus grabbed Athena's shoulder "he's trying to get under your skin leave it" he whispers
Lucius carries on "and your sisters don't even get me started on them, Marlene is it" Lucius looks back at Evan "she's even worse then you McKinnon, must be the muggle in them I think Marlene-" before he can finish his sentence
Athena managed to get out of Remus's grip and jump on top of Malfoy tackling him to the ground as Richard does to, she got about 3 punches before she was dragged away by James, Sirius grabs Richard,
James held on to Athena tight "he's doing this to get on your nerves he's an idiot Athena"
Regulus gets in between Malfoy "what's going on?" He looks back at Athena
It felt as though someone punched Athena in the face as she come to the realisation of what Regulus had done "you told him about my father" she looked at Regulus with tears in her eyes "didn't you?"
"Athena I-" Regulus stutters "I didn't think he would do something like that"
Sirius says "of corse you didn't, that's what you always think isn't it?"
Regulus looks at Sirius in pity "Sirius stay out of this, you don't care you never have"
James looks at him "just go mate you won't make it any better talk to her later"
McGonagall Slughorn and professor keys all come out
"What is going on" McGonagall walks up to the boys
As Slughorn looks at Lucius's bloody nose "oh my boy you've taken a proper beating haven't you" he examines his nose "one more punch and it would have been broken"
Professor keys looks at you "Athena?" He comes closer to you "what did you do kid?" She could see the disappointment in his eyes
She looked back up at him with tears in your eyes "Ask Lucius, he's the one yelling slurs and talking about my family"
All three of the teachers look at Malfoy
"Right" McGonagall says in shock "Athena dear can you please go inside I'll send Dumbledore to come and have a chat with you"
"Why not Professor Flitwick?" She asked
"He's off sick now go" she nods "you too Carter".

Athena and Richard walk off the pitch as Richard starts to giggle, he looks at Athena who starts to go into a fit of giggles
"What a tosser" Richard puts his palm on his head "he basically asked to get punched, just say what he said to Dumbledore he'll agree with you"
Athena shakes her head"Yeah not sure she will though"

Marlene and Lily were walking up to the two "if she kills me you can have my broom" Athena whispers to Richard
"Sweet" Richard agrees
Marlene yells "WHAT THE HELL DID HE SAY TO MAKE YOU DO THAT" Marlene grabs Athena's face and inspects it for any bruises
"Marlene he was asking for it, he started mentioning father and calling him despicable names I don't want to repeat and then he mentioned you-"
"Me!" Marlene interrupts "what did he say?" She says
"I punched him before he could say anything" Athena says
She nods and smiles "well done then" she gave Athena a hug "well done for winning the game".

Athena sat on her bed and thought about all the ways she could be punished for what she had just done. Dumbledore walks into the room "good evening Athena?" He raises his eyebrow
She looked at him "yeah it was fantastic" she says sarcastically
Dumbledore let's out a little chuckle "so what did Mr Malfoy exactly say to you to make you jump on top of him and hit him in the face three times" he sits opposite her
She avoided eye contact she didn't want to see his disappointment "he said stuff about my family and called us blood traitors and slurs, he always gets away with it I wasn't going to have it"
Dumbledore processes for a moment "right" he nods "well I will get Professor Slughorn to have a word with him, but Athena I'm afraid I can't let you go free" he sits back up "a weeks detention with Professor Slughorn" he starts heading towards the door "oh and Athena" he turns "I like the name the order of the Phoenix" he winks "appreciate the consideration" he walks out.
