That realisation made me uncomfortable for a few minutes but then it put me at ease.
Of course the summoner looked like Jonah. My weird dreams always had real world roots. I guess I thought he was too handsome to be human or something in my horny daze and that translated into a whole ass demon summoning ritual in my dreams.
After spending another hour or so reading e-books on my phone, I decided to go wait in the living room.
As usual the door bell rang and Bennett opened the door. Seeing both Matt and Kara at the same as well as Simon was slightly confusing as I had gotten used to seeing just one of the bodyguards waiting to be let in.
Jonah hasn't left?
My question was answered a voice called out. "I'm here."
I looked up see Jonah descending down the stairs. He was wearing a white shirt and a maroon vest. He was putting on his maroon suit jacket as he climbed down the stairs. I found myself smiling involuntarily. I suppressed it.
The fact that he'd always pick out the same colour suit as whatever I wore, whenever he knew it before hand, was kind of cute. Even though we kept up our public appearances, we had stopped going out together. He had hired more security personnel, so whichever bodyguard was assigned to me that day, escorted me to wherever I had to be. So, I was used to showing up and seeing him in his usual black suit except for those days when Simon texted me. Those days we matched. In the beginning, it seemed a childish way to piss off our exes, but all of a sudden, that was cute to me.
He flirted with me once. Just ONCE. Okay, maybe twice if today's morning counts, but so what? Seriously, Riley, pull your shit together.
My phone rang and I cut the call as soon I looked at the caller ID. I really wasn't in the mood to talk to my cheating ex boyfriend. Not that I ever was, but that didn't deter him from calling me every single god damn day.
I got up from the couch and went over to Matt. He pat my shoulder in greeting, "Hey." I pat his hand on my shoulder and grinned, "Hi."
"I cleared your schedule for today and Monday. I talked to the photographer and she agreed to let us have the raw unedited photos if we signed an agreement stating that we went against expert recommendation and thus cannot claim a refund. What do you want to do about that, sir?" Simon asked.
Jonah looked confused for a second. "Didn't we do the previous photoshoot with the same photographer?"
"Yes, sir."
"Then how come we have this problem now. I don't remember signing any waiver last time."
"Yeah. That's because Miss Colton gave the green light for edited photos."
"Why didn't you tell me that? We're launching a camera, why would we want edited photos? That would inauthentic."
I'm pretty sure that commercials are usually edited despite the product being the camera itself.
