The more Vega looked around the Great Hall, the more she noticed that it seemed – somehow – much more crowded than it ever been before, even if there were only barely an addition of twenty or so extra students there. Perhaps it was because their differently coloured uniforms stood out so clearly against the black of the Hogwarts' robes, with the only colours being their house colours.

Now that they had removed their furs, the Durmstrang students were revealed to be wearing robes of a deep blood-red. Vega thought that the colour red look pretty nice, when compared to the Beauxbaton's pale blue robes – mainly and only because her favourite colour happened to be red.

Twenty minutes into the Dinner Feast, Hagrid sidled into the Great Hall through a door behind the staff table. He slid into his seat at the end and waved at the four with a very heavily bandaged hand.

"Ah, it looks he got a bit hurt," Vega realised, raising her hand to wave back eagerly at him, calling out without a concern, "Skrewts doing alright, Hagrid? And what about you?"

"Thrivin'," Hagrid called back rather happily. Vega nodded to let him know that they heard.

"Yeah, I'll just bet they are," Ron muttered quietly so only Vega, Harry and Hermione heard. "Looks like they've finally found a food they like, doesn't it? Hagrid's fingers,"

At that very moment, a voice interrupted them: "Excuse me, are you wanting ze bouillabaisse?"

It was an unfamiliar voice so Vega turned around to see who it was, and it turned out to be a girl from Beauxbatons – the same one who had laughed during Dumbledore's speech. he had finally removed her muffler. A long sheet of silvery-blonde hair fell almost to her waist. She had large, deep blue eyes, and very white, even teeth. In the simplest of words, Vega could say that she was stunning.

On the sight of the girl and her prettiness, Ron went completely purple in the face. He stared up at her, opened his mouth to reply, but nothing came out except a faint gurgling noise, which made it worse. Vega recalled this reaction to be the same as he had given the Veela and wondered if...

"Um, yes, you can have it," Vega spoke up quickly before Ron made more of a fool of himself, especially since he had been in the middle of eating. Harry pushed the dish towards the girl.

"You 'ave finished wiz it?" continued on the Veela-ish female in an accented English.

"Yeah," Ron responded breathlessly. "Yeah, it was excellent,"

The older female picked up the dish from the table and carried it carefully off to the Ravenclaw table where the rest of her school was sitting. Ron was still goggling at the girl as though he had never seen one before. Harry started to laugh. The sound seemed to jog Ron back to his senses.

"She's a Veela too!" Ron said hoarsely to Harry.

"Of course, she isn't!" Hermione spoke tartly. "I don't see anyone else gaping at her like an idiot!"

But Hermione wasn't entirely right about that. As the girl crossed the Great Hall, many boys' heads turned, and some of them seemed to have become temporarily speechless, just like Ron had been.

"I'm telling you, that's not a normal girl!" Ron exclaimed, leaning sideways so he could keep a clear view of the girl. "They don't make them like that at Hogwarts!"

"They make them okay at Hogwarts," Harry responded without thinking, his eyes glancing over toward Cho Chang, who happened to be sitting only a few places away from the pretty girl.

"Yeah, there are plenty of pretty girls at Hogwarts, too," Vega said teasingly, knowing that he was looking at a certain Ravenclaw Seeker rather than the Beauxbatons' girls.
