I hate the spelling "fairy"
It screams five year old innocence.
Something that has long since been stolen.
I hate how naïve we are, thinking they're just magical beings.
The spelling "faerie" suggests mischief-
It calls to a deep part of my soul that craves chaos
Its simple really
"Fairy" is a child
"Faerie" is someone who has seen the world for what it is
The good the bad the chaos the calm
It resonates with a place deep in my heart
Society told me to lock up that feeling
To never feel it again
Society sucks
And looking back, my view on the word "fairy" was about as simple minded as i was.
