"Come on, it's just the two of us all night Ri, how long has it been since that's happened" James whispered into my ear as we walked into my house later that week. I rolled my eyes at him
"Who said you were staying?" I asked making him scoff

"me" He whispered pulling me back by the hand before crashing our lips together 

With one swift movement, James hands were gripping my thighs lifting my up into the air as he began walking up the stairs with me in his arms
The moment we got into my bedroom, James kicked the door shut before gently laying the pair of us on the bed

"Am I staying?" James whispered into my ear as he began to trail kisses down my neck
"I don't know, I haven't decided" I teased making James pull away to glare at me as I bit my lip in anticipation 

James shook his head in my direction before pulling me in closer crashing our lips together again

It was late in the night, almost 4am to be exact. James was still upstairs probably fast asleep. While I sat on the counter of the kitchen worktop in nothing but his shirt
Something has been on my mind for a few days and I think it's slowly starting to eat at me 

James is in his final year of School. He'll be off to college in the blink of an eye and there is nothing I can do to stop that
Not that I would want to 

But I also can't help but think about how things are going to change

James has the full potential to do whatever he chooses to do in College, in any location he would wish
Much to popular belief, James does pretty well in school 
Ironic right?

It just means the sky is his limit and there isn't anything I can or anyone else can say to change that. Not that we would want too

I want to be able to talk to him about this, I want to be able to be completely honest about this all but the moment I do, I become that pathetic girlfriend who is scared of her boyfriend leaving
The one everyone deems as untrusting of her boyfriend

 That isn't what I want..

"Hey" James' groggy voice said making me look up to see him stood in the doorway of the kitchen just in his boxers, I turned to him offering him a smile
"What are you doing up?" I asked watching as his figure made his way over to me
"I was going to ask you the same question" He grumbled as he got closer to me

"See I woke up in the hope I could just cuddle my girlfriend and go straight back to sleep" He mumbled with his head in the crock of my neck
"But when I turned over to do just that, she wasn't there" He whispered placing a gentle kiss against my neck making me jump slightly at the sudden change in atmosphere 

"James" I whispered as I felt him smirk against my neck, he pulled away one final time before pulling me in closer so my body was wrapped around his torso with my weight still on the counter

"Why were you down here alone Ri" He whispered cupping my cheek
"I couldn't sleep" I answered

That wasn't a complete lie, I couldn't sleep but he didn't need to know the reason

"Why?" He asked stroking my cheek gently, I shrugged looking up at him
"I don't know" I whispered back making him sigh gently leaning down pressing his lips against mine softly 

Over the last few months, James' slowly softened. What started as this heated, steamy secret was slowly turning in this captivating, passionate relationship 
And I don't think either of us would want to change that 

James soon picked me up in the same way he tends to all the time except this time it wasn't full of kisses and it wasn't rushed, he slowly started walking up the stairs until we were back in my room 
He pulled the duvet over the top of us the moment we were both safely laid on the bed before pulling me into his chest where he hands began to slowly stroke my back 

"Sleep Ri" he whispered placing a light kiss on my forehead 

Slowly but surely, the gentle strokes to my back sent me into the deep slumber I'd been craving for hours

James was the reason I couldn't sleep but he also seems to be the only reason I was able to fall asleep..
