Walking into school the next morning felt different, all eyes were on us again but this time I don't think they were on James and I as a pair. They were on me 
Almost as if everyone knew what had gone on
"Are you going to be okay Ri" James asked as we got to my locker
"Of course, what's the worst that would happen here? I'll either you or Kyle on my hip" I said making him chuckle

"Speaking of, where is the dork" James said looking around before I rolled my eyes taking out some book from my locker

"He'll be here soon, go find the boys. I'll be fine on my own for a couple minutes" I said but James looked at me a little hesitantly 
"I'm serioussss" I whined pushing him towards the boys slightly earning a chuckle 
"Alright alright, call me if you need anything" He said before pulling me in by the waist pressing his lips against mine 

With in a moment or two, James crossed the corridor greeting his friends while I stood at my locker waiting for Kyle who was still nowhere to be seen
Looking around I could see everyone's gazes landing on me and it would seem my suspicions were correct 

They were all staring at me..

"I heard she was cheating on some guy from her Dance" A voice said
"I heard it was his brother" Another said

"She cheated on James of all people, who does she think she is" Another laughed before making complete eye contact with me 
I pushed my hair out of my face bowing my head walking past them all, as I passed James he looked up offering me a smile that I returned
The last thing I needed was James realising something was up

It got to lunchtime and after the day of listening to everyone's whispers, everyone's comments the last thing I wanted to do was to sit out in the open courtyard continuing to listen to it all 
So I avoided bumping into both Kyle and James and made a straight B-Line for the the Library

At least in here, I can find a quiet corner and just hide until the bell run again..

"you aren't slick man" A voice said making me look up from the book to see Kyle heading this way, he had a smirk on his face as he rolled his eyes sitting down in front of me
"what are you doing here?" I asked
"Riley, you're my best friend. I know all of your hiding spots" he chuckled

"But this is your hiding from the world spot so what is going on?" He asked concerned 

He looked around and with in an instance managed to notice people's gazes on me just as they had been all day

"Is there a problem here?" He asked the small crowd of teenagers, they looked at the pair of us before scoffing
"So was it you she cheating on your brother with? Or are you just picking up his sloppy seconds" One of the boys asked with a level of confidence that I wouldn't dare be able to match 
"Excuse me?" Kyle asked with annoyance in his tone

"We all know about Riley's little escapade last night. She cheated on James of all people, it was bound to get around" A girl explained looking me up and down with a look of disgust on her face

"I suggest you all wind your fucking necks in. You don't know what you are talking about" Kyle said about to snap 
"Oh it was so him" The same guy laughed
"She never fucking cheated you moron" Kyle yelled alerting the attention of the staff in the room 

"Kyle it's fine leave it" I mumbled but Kyle shook his head at me
"Yeah listen to her Kyle, after all we're doing nothing but talking the truth aint that right Riley" The guy said now addressing me 

"You're pathetic" the girl laughed before the entire small group turned and left.

Kyle turned to me in the attempt to take a step forward but I shook my head walking past him in the attempt to leave
"Riles wait up!" He called but I didn't want to look back

What I wanted right now was to get out of this place, out of the library, out of the school.

Out of sight..
