Chapter One- Gray eyes

Why? Why is It always me? I always fall for terrible guys. Zuko has been my best friend. My love. Most of all, my heart broke.

Cheating on me all the time, but do I leave him? Hell no. I still love him and always will. I can't help it he takes care of me, loves me. I just can't leave.

I just lie there in the bed of my apartment thinking and crying. I and Zuko stay at each other's apartments every week. Like one week we are at mine then the next at his. This week we were supposed to be there. But then this happened.

As I lay in bed I finally hear my alarm go off. I was up all night because I caught him last night. Time for work I guess. I get up and walk to my bathroom and look at myself in the mirror. I look like shit.

My hair looked like a rat's nest it was so tangled. Tear stains my face as well as dark under-eye bags. I strip from my clothes and turn on the shower hot and step in.

Once done with my shower I grab a towel and get out. I go into my closet and put on some underwear and a bra then grab some clothes. I'm wearing a plain black long sleeve shirt with blue jeans and a black belt.

I then grab my stuff and my purse as well as my keys. I walk out of my apartment and go to my car. I get into my car and drive to work.

When I got to work I see my mom and give her a hug before I start working. "Amara it's your turn to do the register," Ava, another barista, says.

I roll my eyes and walk to the register. I look up to see the next customer and DAMN. It's a guy about 6'3 I would guess, very tall compared to my 5'6 height. He is wearing a fancy all-black tuxedo with black pants. I look up at his eyes and I think I get lost. His eyes are beautiful gray.

I snap out of my trance and ask him, "How can I help you today?" He looks at the menu and thinks. He looks back at me and I get lost in his eyes again. "Black coffee to go," he says getting out his wallet. "Okay, and what's the name for the order, sir?"

"Liam." He says while swiping his card. "Okay, it'll be right out," I smile at him as he returns a smirk. He steps out of his line and waits for his drink. Jay, another one of my co-workers, bring the coffee up next to me to wear the pickup. I grab it to look at the name and see it was his. "Liam," I call and he walks up and grabs the drink. He leaves and I take the next person's order.

After my shift, I walk out to my car and go back to my apartment. When I get there I unlock the door and walk in. Today was a busy day so I walk in and throw my bag on the ground and walk to my kitchen. When I walk into the kitchen I see Zuko, of course, I forgot he had a key. "What are you doing here?" I say tiredly as I look at him standing there making pasta, my favorite.

"I needed to see you Bambina," I look more sorry than the other times I caught him. He turns off the stove while putting the pasta on some plates and puts them aside. "I got super drunk last night, it was a terrible mistake," he walks toward me and snakes his arms around my waist. "Perdonami?" I wrap my arms around his neck and hug him. "Of course,"

We eat dinner and go to my room, he wanted to stay with me. I take a shower and then do my night routine. Zuko gave me his shirt to wear and I did. We cuddle as we fall asleep, I missed him.

When I wake up I smell food. I get up and do my business In the bathroom and go to the kitchen. I walk into the kitchen and see Zuko making fried eggs. He looks at me and smiles "Good morning Bambina," I smile and sit at the table, "Good Morning," He puts the eggs on the table. I grab my fork and stab into it and smile, runny just how I like it.

We start eating and finally, he looks at me and talk, "Today you need to pick out a dress we are going to a party," I look at him confused. "What kind of party?" I question, "A friend of mine, it's a celebration because he is becoming the new CEO of Gonzalez Inc." He explains.

I nod and continue eating. After eating I go back to my room and get ready for the day. Zuko waited till I got done to say goodbye. He also said he put ten thousand dollars on my credit card to get a dress. I always tell him I can buy my own things but he does it before I can argue anymore.

I walk out of my car and go to work. I get to work and clock in while putting on my apron.

Here goes a long ass day again. Today I'm not working at the register I'm making drinks. Even though I was making drinks, I saw him again.

Beautiful. Gray. Eyes.
