chapter 14.

Melody's pov

For the first time in years I have woken up happy for the first time in years I feel like myself the time is 6:00AM and

I have training to do so I got up out of bed and woke Cole up and said " hey baby we got training in 30 minutes so get up" I then walked to the bathroom and brushed my teeth and washed my face

I then brushed my hair and put it in a messy bun and walked out of the bathroom and Cole walked in I then walked over to my closet and grabbed a sports bra and some leggings and got dressed

After we got dressed we made our way to the training field and got started I decided we would start with a six mile run in our human form which was not very difficult for me but for Cole I think it might be.

After we finished running which to my surprise Cole was completely fine he's not sweating or breathing hard at all it's nice to know my mate is better at this then I thought

We then started hand to hand combat training he seems to be good at this so I'm not going to go easy on him but I'm also not going to go hard on him

After about a few seconds of sizing each other up Cole was the first to attack but I moved out of the way making him trip but he didn't fall

I then grabbed him by his arm and flipped him he landed on his back on the ground with a thud I then pinned him said " I win this one" I then kissed him and got up I then helped him up I then say " let's go again"

After about 30 minutes of hand to hand combat i decided we should train in our wolf form once again we ran six miles and we worked on our fighting Skills he's actually really good at fighting

After awhile we stopped training and decided to walk home as we began walking I had and idea and decided to bring it up with Cole I then say

" hey Cole I just wanna say you did amazing today and I was wondering if you would like to train with the pack warriors tomorrow?" He then replied " thanks and I would love to"

I just nod in response after we got home I went upstairs and took a shower and changed into a black t-shirt and some jeans

I then put on my sneakers and went downstairs to find Abby in MY house talking to MY mate and to make things worse Cole didn't have a shirt on so she was looking at him with lustful eyes

So I walked up to them and said " hey baby may I just say you look extremely hot and I love seeing your body but could you please put your shirt on so sluts can't look at what's MINE"

Cole turned a deep red at my words and all he could do was nod he then left to get a shirt

I then look at Abby dead in the eyes and say with and evil smirk" Abby honey if you don't keep your eyes off my mate I will skin your wolf alive and then hang you from a tree in my backyard do you understand me Mutt "

But before she could react Cole came back down stairs and wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my neck from behind and said " what did I miss" to which i replied

" oh nothing hey I was gonna ask you yesterday but we were distracted would you like to go to the towns carnival tomorrow?"

He just nodded in response i then kiss him and smile I then turn
back to Abby my smile gone and replaced with an deadly smirk and said " I think you should leave before I make you pick out the tree you want" she then huffed and left

I then turned back to my mate and said " baby I love you but I need you to stop talking to her all she wants is to sleep with you just to piss me off" he just nodded in response

I then kissed him and said " anyway um Cole is it okay if jasper and Jack train tomorrow"

Cole then replied "that's fine but
why can't you join?"

I then reply "I'm sorry but I've just got a bunch of paperwork to do " he just nodded in response we then went over to the couch and watch a movie

Time Skip and Coles pov🌺

A few minutes after the movie was finished we heard someone bang on the front door Melody then gets up and walks over to the door and opened it there stood Melody's brother Jack.

Melody steps aside and says "Jack come in" Jack then walked in and said

"Melody please let my mate out I need her please" he begged.

Melody then gave him a small smile and said

"Yes I'll let her out today just follow me" she then lead us to the pack dungeon after about 10 minutes we finally found a small fragile looking girl sat on the floor with her knees to her

Chest she then looked up at us and smiled and said "Jack you came back for me"

Jack then replied "hey Katrina" with the biggest smile on his face

Melody then opened the door to Katrina's cell Jack then ran in and embraced her she then kissed him and that's when

Melody and I turned and left them alone.

as we stepped out side Melody turns to me and just as she was about to open her mouth to speak

I pushed her as hard as I could out of the way and just as she hit the ground I was attacked by two very large black wolves with red glowing eyes

They pushed me to the ground
And one of them grabbed me by my throat with their jaws and before it could kill me I turned to Melody and said "I love you" I then closed my eyes accepting death.
