Chapter 5

When I walked out of the apartment,
there were my neighbors from upper floors,
who were holding fire extinguishers.
They were about to knock the door.

They went in the apartment but I tried
to stop them because fire was already
way bigger. They were trying
to blow out the fire.

I went to Lisa's apartment. But she
wasn't home. I called Tae to know if
he had called Emergency or not.

Y/n : Tae di--

Tae : Y/N!? Are you out of the apartment??
Huh? I have already called the Emergency;
they will be there any minute.

That's when I heard fire
brigade and police sirens.

Y/n : Tae, they are here.

Tae : Okay...okay. (He sounded
relieved) You need to get out of the
building, too. I am on my way there. Okay?

Y/n : okay... (I cut the call confused)

It's been only 3 minutes since when
I told Tae about fire. But the Fire
brigade and police were already here.
Maybe, maybe somebody else has
called Emergency before Tae could.

~~~~30 minutes later~~~~

The fire was blown out. I was sitting
out the building. Police asked me
questions about fire and how that
happened. I told them that
I didn't know anything.

I saw Tae's car stopping with tire
screeching sound. I stood up.
He jump out of the car.

Practically running towards me. And
hugged me immediately. He pulled out,
then hold my face in his hands.

Tae : are you okay? Huh? What
happened? Did you get hurt?
(He started to looking at body.
Searching for any wound and burns)

Y/n : I am okay, Tae. (I said,
making him to look at me) I am fine.

Tae : how that happened?
(He said looking building)

Y/n : I---I don't know. We were
talking on phone and suddenly
I saw smoking coming in my room....
I remember, there was nothing
that could cause that fire.

Y/n : All lights were off including kitchen's.
I wasn't cooking anything for sure.
(I looked at him unsure.)
it's even stranger that fire brigade came
just in 3 minutes after you cut the call.
(I said softly)

I was looking at him. He was looking at me.
There was a heavy atmosphere.
Then, he came close to me, kissed my
forehead and said softly.

Tae : maybe......someone else
called......before I could.

Y/n : hmm.... (I said nodding) I thought
the same. But still, because
the smoke alarm was ----

..... : Y/N??

That Lisa was with her boyfriend.

Lisa :are you okay? what happened?

Y/n : I am okay. But where were you guys?

Lisa : Sahun and I were on date.
(Then she hugged me) I am so sorry
y/n I wasn't here to help you. I am so sorry.

We pulled away.

Y/n : its OK.

Sehun : you must be tired with all
of this. You can stay with us
till your apartment get fixed!

Before I could answer Tae said.

Tae : umm.... You guys don't need
to bother, she can stay with me.
(Tae looked at me) What do you say y/n?
