love don't exist

anyways, i tried to reference the song above, but i feel like i failed to. i don't even know what i was trying to do here, but at least it turned out okay. this is not the first time

i do this because to me it's like a challenge of writing something slightly far from my comfort zone and write something new, but true to the original. it's interesting because i get to study the song and what formula is used. a song is never just a song; it's so much more.

1ST VERSE:

i've heard third's a charm

but you certainly weren't

you left me in ashes, madly burnt

arguing with you was war

and despite all your harsh words

dabbed in, shot in the dark

your voice is still the loveliest serenade i've ever heard

days go by but the scar of you never does

2 am and here i am

all night through, the thought of you

and only you remains

it's like i'm talking to the moon

except we don't shine as vibrant

all these daily reminders of our past love

they should be banned

time never fails to disappoint

just like your broken promises

that once filled my empty void

hey, is it tomorrow yet?

PRE-CHORUS:

it's a road i tell myself i shouldn't take

cause once i do, it's the dead end of all mistakes

next time i'll try and maneuver through the freeway

CHORUS:

love don't exist under circumstances like these

love don't exist, or at least that's what i choose to believe

love don't exist during times like these

i inhaled you in, yet failed to breathe

love don't exist if you're happier with her

love don't exist when it's not my september

love don't exist, oh no no

2ND VERSE:

it's always playback and rewind

as the lights of dawn always seem to blind

what about our bond, huh?

you know, the one you swore we had

i can't face this and i can't face you

cause after all this time

you have the audacity to run and hide

from all that we built

you're nothing like i remember

i guess a hazing summer is nothing like our fallen september

it isn't, is it?

forever collapsed to never be whole again

as i jilted nothing but a holler across

there was nothing i would've loved more than just us

but you never understood

you failed me, even more than a test score

no, it never was an open book

you only read the first chapter and never reached the hook

i guess it doesn't matter, since the ending was fatal anyways

you tore out the first page before i even could

our actions are one to confuse

now, should i feel outrage or broken?

all i know is that i'm anything but amused

PRE-CHORUS:

it's a road i tell myself i shouldn't take

cause once i do, it's the dead end of all mistakes

next time i'll try and maneuver through the freeway

CHORUS:

love don't exist under circumstances like these

love don't exist, or at least that's what i choose to believe

love don't exist during times like these

i inhaled you in yet failed to breathe

love don't exist if you're happier with her

love don't exist when it's not my september

love don't exist, oh no no

 BRIDGE:

lost in the seven seas, searching for something that's true

searching for something that doesn't compel and illuse in a tint of blue

searching for someone who's not you

lost in your radiant eyes, lost in my vacant lies

i've lost myself in the process

i thought this is what i wanted

the simple life is anything unlike mine

you. you're the problem

the only one i'm not smart enough to solve

and all because i want to go back

i want to come back to you ( you, yes you )

can i come back to you?

CHORUS:

love don't exist under circumstances like these

love don't exist, or at least that's what i choose to believe

love don't exist during times like these

i inhaled you in yet failed to breathe

love don't exist if you're happier with her

love don't exist when it's not my september

love don't exist, oh no no
