Let me start with an apology. I have the best readers, sadly I'm not the best writer. Worst of all, I keep you all waiting for months. I'm really sorry and the least I can do is give you all an explanation

Ever since I started my new job, It became difficult to find time to write. It doesn't help that I'm unhappy with the pacing of the story
Fortunately, after many weeks of thinking and trying to decide what to do, I made my choice. Secret kitten ends here.

Before you get sad or angry that you never got to know what kitten looks like or see the weeding or Gabriel paying for his crimes and Adrien finding out about his father's misfits, I should warn you that I'm working on a sequel

I will release secret kitten part 2 this September. There are many reasons I made this choice.

First, I always planned on a sequel, and now I can use all the ideas I had for one.

Second, it solves the problem I had with pacing. This way I have more time to let the story play out without having to cut or rush it.

Third, I think ending with the proposal is a fitting end to this story. While my initial plan was to end with Kitten being born, I realized there were still many things I wanted to do, and the story is already long. Instead of trying to force the pacing in a way I didn't like it, I can make the story flow more naturally if I split into 2 books. Cutting the story into 2 parts will allow me on the second part to focus more on Adrienette as a couple

I already have 3 chapters ready of the sequel, and I am working on improving them. My plan is for the sequel to be about 20 chapters. It will start where secret kitten ended and continue from there. (we'll see kitten, chat blank return , dadrien and mominette , weddings :))

The sequel will be smaller than this one, but it will give me enough time to complete the story

Also, because although I sometimes forget to reply, I do read the comments. I want to give the biggest of thanks to Sinofpride . Your comment was really insightful. If you didn't notice, I'm a huge fan of the show. So much of a fan that I decided to keep some of the flaws of it, including some of Marinette's flaws. Like so many know she is a little self-centered

This was always something I wanted to tackle to force some character growth In the future . However, to change the way of the narrative and for a change I wanted to focus first on Adrien. So the story so far was mostly about him figuring out what he wanted. He had to figure out his feelings for Marinette before he found out about the pregnancy and that she was ladybug. He also had to tell his father about her and propose the right away.

Marinette's side was to learn not to keep secrets, be honest and start to communicate with Adrien.

Now that she is with Adrien, and she is part of a couple and an Agreste and eventually a mom. she will have her chance to grow and focus on others and their needs. This was always my plan and although sometimes I admit I accidentally got carried away and made it too easy for her, and sometimes I made a little too much fun of Adrien. I will be more careful about it in the sequel, I promise.

The following chapters will likely come in September, unless I get so ahead I feel comfortable to post them early. My goal is to end the sequel this year. Although knowing me It will likely be over next year
