Katie woke up quite late the next day. It was a new day. A new day to do nothing. As she woke up mentally, she remembered why she wasn't able to sleep last night. She was thinking about Aiden. But wasn't it over between us? Sighing, she got up to get ready. It's going to be a long day.
She missed Alexa a lot. A lot.
Her mom and Joe had gone to run errands and were going to take the whole day. Jack had gone for Karate class. Katie decided that it was a beautiful new day and a pleasant one to take a walk.
She changed into tracks and wore her running shoes. Trying her hair in a pony tail, she donned her jacket and set off.
Katie had gotten used to walking and running around in the morning. Her university had a huge campus. It was after shifting to New York, she had initiated this routine of taking morning walks/jogs.
She plugged in her earpods and started listening to songs.
