School has ended. I'm currently walking home with Benjamin. I proposed him to come over. I take my keys out of my pocket and unlock the door. We both enter in the house. Benji throws his backpack on the couch, i do the same and we walk to the kitchen together.
"Oh my god, i'm so hungry !" i complain
"Same !" answers Benji
I walk around the kitchen search for an acceptable snack. I grab a cereal box and a bowl and put them on the table.
"Cereal party ?" i ask my best friend
"Meh..." he sighs "I want to eat pancakes !" he says, sounding like a kid
"Who the fuck eats pancakes in the afternoon ? You're weird" i pour my cereals in the bowl
"Says the girl eating cereals at 5pm..." he lurks at me
"Cereals are cool ! Not pancakes...it's so basic but anyways make them if you want to eat pancakes" i say devouring my cereals
"Quite ironic from a Canadian girl..." he respond taking out the ingredients for his pancakes
"Half Australian, half Canadian" i correct him
"Yes sure...And then you wonder why i am your dad's favorite" he says clearly mocking me

I get interrupted by Benji taping on the counter. I lift my head up.
"Can you listen to me and stop smiling at your phone ?" he asks, a plate of pancakes in his hands
"I'm not smiling at all" i answer quickly wiping my smile off "It was a funny video...on my phone. It's nothing..." i try my best to lie
"So...wanna try my pancakes ?" he demand with a cute little smile
I take a bite to the pancake on top of the pile and chew it. It's actually good.
"Damn...it's actually good !" i exclaim taking another bite "For real, it's actually good"
"I know right...it's your dad recipe" he adds
"You should stop being super bestie with my dad...that's weird" i give him a little stare
"I can't deal with being your dad's favorite. It's in my genes" he chuckles "By the way, Bella asked in the group chat if she could come over and i said yes. She will be there in 15 minutes"

All of us four (Bella came with Olivia), are sitting on my bed, all on our phones. I've been chatting with Chris and Nick on Snapchat for maybe one hour now. Olivia claps so she get everyone attention. We are all looking at her.
"Guys, maybe we should start to do our homework..." she says
"Noooo..." Benji and I complain
"But we have an essay tomorrow ! Work, you lazy bitches !" she add
"Oh my god, guys...I forget to ask. Who are you guys bringing to the Valentines prom ?" declares Bella, interrupting Olivia
"I'm going with Ivy, my favorite person !" answers Benji, faking a cute face
"Yep, we are going together, once again" i snatch Benji's cap and put it on my head
"Boring...You guys went together in freshman, sophomore and junior ! Why aren't you guys find someone else to go with ?"
"I don't know...why not ?" says Benji "Ivy, who will you go with if it's not me ?"
I don't why but instantly Chris' name pops in my mind. Why would i invite to the Valentines prom...we just friends, FRIENDS not valentines. I wip this thought away from my mind
