The Quest To Catch Them All

Chapter 17

(Saffron City)
Michael had just arrived in Saffron City.

Abra:"A-Abra. Abra?(W-where are we going?)"

The Abra asks. She is now in a better condition than she was the first time Michael had met her.

Michael:"I'm a Pokemon trainer Abra. I want to challenge this gym first before I continue helping you find the trainer you feel will be perfect for you"

Abra:"A-Abra!(Oh okay!)

Eevee:"Eevee. Eevee!(Let's go Mike!)"

Michael chuckles a little before walking into the gym.

Jim:"Hey! Hey! Champ in the making how you doing?"

Michael:"Good"

Jim:"Well that's great to hear! Now as usual I'm going to tell you about this gym but you better listen carefully! This gym is different from the rest"

Michael nods and Jim starts explaining.

Jim:"Now Champ. You see those?"

He says pointing at a weird tile.

Jim:"Those aren't some normal tiles. The gym leader of this here gym specializes in psychic types and I assume you know what that means right?"

Michael nods once again.

Jim:"Of course you do. The gym leader specializes in illusions and some other psychic related things. She uses some psychic Pokemon to teleport trainers to a specific location but don't worry it doesn't change if you get it wrong"

Michael:"Understood"

Jim:"And one more thing. The gym leader here isn't normal. She has psychic abilities believe it or not."

Michael raises his brow.

Michael:'Psychic abilities?'

He thinks to himself.

Jim:"Yeah. I also heard the gym leader didn't grow up with any friends because of that. I think that's why she's such a cold person"

Michael nods at Him.

Jim:"But that's all I know. Remember don't go on the same tile twice!"

Michael walks on the tile and he is teleported somewhere different. He looks around for a few seconds before a trainer approaches him.

Trainer:"You will not get past me!"

The trainer shouts sending out his Pokemon. Michael throws out Haunter and the ghost Pokemon starts laughing at the Kadabra infront of him.

Michael:"Use Hypnosis"

Haunter:"Haunter!(Sweet dreams!)"

Haunter's eyes glow and a spiral beam comes out of them flying at the Kadabra. They hit the Kadabra and he immediately falls asleep.

Trainer:"Kadabra wake up!"

Michael:"Now finish it off with Dream eater"

Haunter smiles and he flies towards the Haunter before grabbing onto it's head. Haunter opens his mouth and some grey aura like substance comes out of Kadabra's head and into Haunter's mouth. Haunter let's go and the Kadabra had now fainted. Haunter burps and he pats his non existent belly.

Trainer:"Kadabra! Nooo!"

The trainer shouts. Abra was watching this in awe. She had never seen a battle before. The trainer gives Michael some money as he proceeds through the gym. He goes through the tiles and they were very confusing. He fought every trainer he came across which was even more fascinating for Abra. While training he had managed to evolve one of his pokemon that pokemon being Porygon into Porygon two by the upgrade device.
