Back in the Land of the Living, Victoria and Victor were looking out the window of her house. They had spent the whole day together helping Victor rehearse his lines until he was able to say them perfectly.

Victoria couldn't help but feel like Victor was saying those vows to her every time he practiced them, and Victor couldn't help but wish that Victoria was the one he was supposed to say those vows to.

This resulted in the both of them feeling horribly guilty. Victor was supposed to marry (Y/n) and the fact that Victoria was crushing on her older sister's fiancé made her feel awful. She was a wonderful older sister and she loved Victoria with all her heart. She couldn't do this to (Y/n). She needed to push her feelings away.

Victor was feeling equally guilty. (Y/n) seemed so sweet and there was no reason for him to not like her, but he just didn't click as well with her as he did with Victoria. Victor thought of (Y/n) as a kind friend, or lovable little sister rather than a wife. But he couldn't tell her that, it would break her heart. Not to mention both his parents and Victoria's parents would probably kill him.

So the two were content with pushing their feelings for each other deep down in order to spare (Y/n)'s feelings, and to just stand next to each other, looking at the stars.

"Victoria, come away from the window." Her mother ordered.

Victoria walked over to where her parents and Victor's parents were sitting, Victor following behind her.

"Oh, I'm sure she'll be back shortly." Victor's mother reassured, trying to break the awkward silence.

*Knock**Knock**Knock*

"Enter!" Lord Everglot commanded.

The doors swung open and Lord and Lady Barkis entered the room.

"Ah, Lord and Lady Barkis. I trust the rooms are to your liking." Lady Everglot asked.

"Thank you, you are a most gracious hostess. Which is why is pains us to be the bearers of such bad news." Lord Barkis said.

Lord Barkis snapped his fingers and the bell ringer entered the room.

"Would you care to repeat tonight's headline for us?" Lady Barkis asked.

"Hear ye, hear ye! (Y/n) Everglot seen this night on the bridge in the arms of a mystery man! The dark-haired man and Miss Everglot slipped away into the night!" He bellowed.

"And now, the weather. Scattered showers -."

"Enough! That will be all." Lady Barkis sneered, waving her hand to dismiss him.

"Mystery man? She doesn't even know any men." Lady Everglot said in shock.

"Or so you thought." Lord Barkis told them. "Do call for us if you need our assistance...in any way." He added as the two slipped out of the room.

"Good heavens Finis, what should we do about this mystery man?" Lady Everglot panicked.

"Fetch me musket!" Lord Everglot ordered.
