I wake up to my alarm and get out of bed. My day start the same way it has been for the past couple of days.
"I'll see you later Kaneki."
"I'll be around. Just be careful and if you mind I'm going to be on the watch for 'Rabbit' as you call her." Kaneki says.
"Just be safe."
"Awww are you concerned about me?" He asks.
"Yes. Literally the day I brought you here, you were almost dead."
"You didn't have to save me." He says and I sigh.
"Be safe, please."
"I will. I'm going to be keeping an eye on you as well. I don't trust that you won't get attacked again." He says and I nod.
"I'll see you later Kaneki." I walk out of the house after all of that and head to work.
"Amon we need to talk about what the hell happened yesterday." Akira says.
"There is nothing to talk about."
"Yes there is. He didn't kill us, he instead defended us." She says.
"Then accept that you're alive and get over it." I turn and start to walk away.
"It's not normal!" She shouts and I turn around and walk back over to her.
"Listen here Akira Mado, accept that you are alive and move on! If you can't do that then stay here and work at your desk! You would have died yesterday and so would I, so get over it and shut the fuck up about it!"
I walk away from her and going back to my desk. God she can be worse than her father at times. It's bad enough that she actually likes me and I had to blow off her offer. Since then she's changed and acted like this.
I sit at my desk and get a bit of the paperwork done before pulling out my phone and texting Aaron.
