A month later
Amon
I set everything down at my desk and sit down. Akira walks over and stops when she sees me. "You're back." She says and I nod.
"Yes I am. What have you gathered during my week off?" She walks to her desk and sits down.
"I haven't gotten anything. They didn't let me go out alone after what happened to you." She says and I nod.
"Is there something going on near Anteiku? I've a raid is coming up for that location."
"Yes there is but they want us to go and check it out to see if we need to go through with it." She says and I nod and I stretch again and pop my back.
"They serve coffee, so lets go now and get some coffee while we're at it." She nods and we both stand up. She grabs her case and we walk outside to my car.
When she gets in I take her case a throw it in the back seat. "Amon what the hell? I might need that." She says.
"Akira we're going to just observe. If they catch you with that and they are ghouls, they they will act as if everything is normal because they believe you will attack if you catch on. If you go without it, then they relax a bit but still stay in edge since they will recognize our faces. But they won't be prompted to try and attack."
She sighs but nods. When I pull up to the building and park she glances back but I shake my head and get out. She gets out as well and we walk in.
"Hello welcome to Anteiku." A girl with purple hair says. I nod and we sit down near and window close to the front of the café.
"This place is nice."
"Ya but don't get distracted." Akira says and I sigh.
"Do you ever go out? You actually have to compliment places or things if you like them. Be normal and just enjoy."
"What can I get for you two today?" The girl with purple hair asks.
"A black coffee for me is fine."
"I'll just take a black coffee as well." Akira says.
"Alright two black coffees. Will that be all?" The girl with purple hair asks.
"For now, thank you." She nods and turns to walk away when I catch her name on her name tag. 'Touka'
Why does that sound so familiar? The bell connected to the door dings and Akira looks confused.
"What is Kaneki doing here?" She asks and I turn to see him walking up to the counter.
"It's a café, they serve coffee. Plus I'm out of coffee at home so he probably came for a few cups. Calm down."
"He seems to know everyone that works here." She says.
"He comes her quite often. Let it go."
"Is it not suspicious to you that he came seemingly from no where, ends up staying with you, you get hurt badly, then he comes here a lot, and this place happens to be a possible ghoul area?" She asks.
"No. You forget the part where he took care of me for a month, I've told you that he makes me food despite me telling him he doesn't have to, he helped me with a situation involving my ex wife, her boyfriend, my son, and his boyfriend. There is nothing wrong with him coming to a place like this for coffee. Our male delivery boy Hide comes here as well."
She sighs and we sit in silence for a bit until Touka brings us out coffees. I take a sip and look out the window.
"Amon?" I hear and I turn to look at Akira.
