"What are we doing again?" I ask as Allison drives down the road, still in the sweatpants she was planning to wear to bed.

Allison keeps her eyes on the road. "Stiles called me and told me that there was a wreck."

I raise an eyebrow. "And what does that have to do with you?"

Allison glaces over at me for a moment. "We think Lydia might have caused it. The people in the ambulance were mauled."

I widen my eyes. "Oh well that's just wonderful. Is Lydia the one that was bitten but didn't turn to a wolf?"

Allison nods. "Yeah. We aren't sure what she is."

I sigh before looking out the window, staring up at the moon. "Well, what are you planning to do with her when you find her?"

Allison's eyes go wide as her face turns pale. "I didn't get that far."

I scoff before I look up and see an ambulance come into view; one that was completely wrecked. My eyes scan the police men rushing around, the same ones that were at the bridge when Jade and I died. I noticed the Sheriff as well as Allison parked her car to the side, starting to get out of the car before she looks at me.

"You stay here," she says, pointing her manicured nail in my face.

I furrow my eyebrows. "What? Why?"

Allison's face is stern. "Because having you around distracts me. I can't focus on not talking to you and listening to people who are alive talk to me. It's confusing."

I half grin, only pulling "I can't focus on not talking to you" out of what she just said. "So you're saying that I'm annoying?"

Allison sighs. "No Corey. I'm saying that people seeing me talk to air will get me locked away in Eichen House."

I raise an eyebrow before looking out the window. "Well, then you better think of an excuse right now because Stilinski over there has been watching you this whole time."

Allison's face goes white before she looks over at Stiles, seeing him standing there with furrowed eyebrows. "Shit..." she mumbles under her breath before she thinks of a cover, which had me laughing.

She grabs her phone before shoving it to her ear, speaking loud enough so Stiles could hear her. "Can you hear me mom? I just turned off the car bluetooth."

I laugh as she walks away from the car, giving me a stern glance before walking over to Stiles. She lowers her phone before talking to him, the two of them glancing back at the car every now and again. Stiles' expression of confusion eases after she explains to him some lie about me.

For awhile, I just sit in the car and watch the two talk before I started to grow bored. I probably would have slept if I was alive, but since I wasn't, I couldn't do that. I couldn't even shove my face full of Doritos that were sitting in her cup holders.

Being dead sucks.

I decided to get out of the car to pass the time. Allison's back was turned to me, so she wouldn't see me leave. I walk through the car door before standing, seeing the crime scene better than I did in the small car. There was blood splattered on the road and there were two empty gurneys sitting in the middle of the road. Red and blue lights flash from the police cars as they line the scene with yellow tape, hoping to keep people out.

My head whips around when I hear something off in the distance, somewhere deeper in the woods. Chills run down my spine as I stare into the forest, curious as to what I heard yet terrified to go check it out myself. Then I thought again and remembered that I was dead. What was there to be afraid of anymore?
