I had read over that heading over and over again, the jitteriness in my hands becoming uncontrollable. My heart had picked up the pace the more I read it, trying to understand and grasp every aspect of it. They made it sound so easy, but I had a feeling that was just the book talking.

The plan itself was quite simple, only if certain things were put into play. It read that the person you're bringing back has to be stuck somewhere; a place that is amongst the living and the dead. I had a gut feeling that that's where I was, so I had a chance. I could actually come back to life.

The book stated as well that the one who can see both worlds is the only one who could bring the person back, which was going to be hard for me. I'm sure the past Allison would have done this in a heartbeat, but now...her mind was elsewhere. Plus, there was too much going on now; the problems at hand needed to be resolved before we focused on me.

I pulled my eyes away from the paper finally as I take a step backwards, my mind spinning with all of the possibilities. I could go home again. I could talk to my friends and parents again. I could actually think about my future again.

But then I stopped. I was starting to become lost in my own world, and I knew that Allison and the rest of them needed me right now. I had a gut feeling that something was about to go down, especially after reading about the Kanima being able to evolve, so that's why I rethought about what to do now--not about coming back to life.

I wasn't sure where Allison and the rest of her family had went, but I knew that I needed to find them. My mind was torn between finding Scott and trying to tell him what was coming, or to find Allison, but before I could make my mind up, I had teleported somewhere that I didn't think of.

When I opened my eyes, I was standing in the middle of what looked to be a warehouse. My eyes wandered before I saw Scott, Derek, Isaac, and Chris standing over a body bag, one that contained Jackson. I didn't know what was going on or how I had gotten here, but I had a feeling that it might have been something to do with me wanting to find Scott, so I guess I found him this way.

"Where are they?" Scott says as he looks up at Derek, who was practically standing over Jackson.

Derek looks around. "Who?"

"Lydia and Peter," Scott says as Derek ignores him, bending down and unzipping the body bag. "Hold on a second, you said you knew how to save him-"

"We're past that," Derek says coldly as I take a step closer, my eyes widening at the sight of Jackson.

Scott's temper grows. "What about-"

"Think about it Scott!" Derek roars as he looks back up. "Gerard controls him! He's turned Jackson into his own personal guard dog. He set all of this in motion so that Jackson could get even bigger and more powerful."

Chris' eyes narrow. "No, he wouldn't do that. If Jackson's a dog, he's turning rabid, and my father wouldn't let a rabid dog live."

"Of course not. Anything that dangerous, that out of control...is better off dead."

I turn to see Gerard standing there, everyone else looking as well. He smiles slightly before I turn back to Derek, watching as he brings his claws down on Jackson, but soon Jackson's eyes are flashing open, shoving his own claws into Derek's chest. Blood spews from Derek's mouth before Jackson throws him across the room into the wall, more that likely knocking him out for a good while.

I gasp as Jackson hisses, looking back at Gerard. "Well done to last, Scott. Like the concerned friend you are, you brought Jackson to Derek to save him. You just didn't realize you were also bringing Derek to me."
