I wake up and look at the clock to see it's gone 10:30AM what the HELL has happened.... my phone apparently will not stop buzzing, I look to see I have missed calls from Tao and Elle, and approximately 30 missed calls from the pair of them, what was most concerning though was the single missed call from my older sister Victoria, I cannot emphasise this enough, Tori. Doesn't. Make. Calls. So I immediately call her back
T: "Well well well"
C: "Is everything okay??? What's happened?"
T: "What are you talking about?"
C: "Victoria you called me? You NEVER call me..."
T: "Well given the developments of the last ten minutes I thought it was necessary...
C: "What are you talking about"
T: "You don't know? The prin- what do you remember about last night?"
C: "I met some cute straight guy who was kind enough to come to the uni bar"
T: Chuckles "If this was going to happen to anyone, of course it would happen to you"
C: "TORI, what's happened?"
T: "Go message Tao, I'm sure he's DYING to scream about it. Goodbye Charles"
And just like that she was gone, I huffed out a breath of exasperation, despite Tori's recommendation the bouncing energy of Tao Xu was decidedly NOT what I wanted right now, I'd never gotten drunk before but the migraine and concerning lack of memories made it clear it was not something I'd be doing again quickly. The next call I made was to Elle
E: "Oh my god"
C: "Elle, I'm hungover, I'm confused, you're the second person to talk to me like this please just tell me what's happening"
E: "Oh, okay, well, the guy you went drinking with last night may or may not have been heir to the throne Nicholas Windsor"
C: "Sorry WHAT?"
E: "You picked up a Prince Charlie, well done"
C: "OH MY GOD ELLE, I'M SCREAMING, CRYING, THROWING MYSELF AGAINST THE WALL! Hang on, how does everyone know?"
E: "Well, apparently you made an impression on him... look at the groupchat"
I was definitely hyperventilating at this point, but I opened the groupchat anyway.
Charles: Morning?
Tao: WELL IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME CHARLES......
Elle: Tao HEEL!
Tao: What? YOU WANT ME PRETEND THIS IS ALL OKAY AND NORMAL?
Elle: Obviously not, but Charlie doesn't remember any of last night apparently.
Tao: Oh.
Charles: Yeah... So could someone explain before my brain explodes.
Tao: Should we just...
Elle: Yeah probably best to just rip the bandage off...
