jude had been knocked into complete exhaust the night before. he didn't even know that he had any energy left in his body until maya joined him.
the pair spent the late hours of the night doing anything but sleeping: cuddling, laughing, chatting, cracking jokes. slowly as the giggles faded into yawns, jude fell asleep while maya pretended to do the same.
the truth was that she had never been more scared. thoughts of her ex-boyfriend being in dortmund sent anxious shockwaves down her body. jude's sleeping arm pulled maya closer towards him, almost as if he could sense she was worried, even when he wasn't awake.

the next morning, maya had woken up before jude. in the meantime, she had made him his protein shake, cooked him some breakfast and thrown his mud-drenched football kit from the night before into the laundry.
jude's nostrils sprawled as he smelt the warm smell of fresh waffles.
"good morning judy," maya woke jude up softly.
jude rubbed his eye as the light adjusted onto maya and the plate of food she was holding.
"good morning- wow, did you make this?" jude giggled. before maya could reply, he reached for a bite "mmh this is incredible, thank you darling."
after a short but sweet kiss, maya went downstairs to grab jude's protein smoothie. that's when he got the message from his friend toby.
