Jackson Junior (Jay) POV

I kept quiet while meeting the pups. Well one pup and one very sick human boy. I'm still trying to figure out what to do. My parents never should have adopted him. It's not because I have anything against him, he actually seems like a good kid, but he is human.

I don't hate humans. I even have human friends, but none of them know what I am. It's important that they don't find out. Our world is dangerous and humans can't handle it.

I can't bring myself to care for the little guy, no matter how adorable he is, knowing he won't be in our lives long. I'm not even talking about his medical issues. I believe in modern medical science and have faith in a God that can heal him... I just know that even if he is healed he will never be accepted into our world.

Alpha Scott could force my parents to give him up. He could excile my parents for bringing a human into the pack. So much could happen all in an attempt to save this boy's life. This could destroy my family. I know Dad didn't tell the Alpha about adopting a human and that can get him in trouble. Me not telling the Alpha I know can get me in trouble as well. This is not good.

Watching my parents and brothers with the kids makes it hard to stay detached though. The way Silas examines everything is impressive for one so young. The small protective gestures he shows toward Lee is adorable. Especially considering she is stronger than he is. When he felt Levi's hair and laughed saying how soft it is I couldn't help but smile.

Yes I can understand the boy. No I haven't told my parents. They know I speak 5 languages. Alpha Scott had his son and I take multiple language classes knowing that there will be more discussions with foreign packs about the hunter problem. He didn't want to rely on a translator that could be bought off so he had us taught. I can understand little Lee as well but they have one translator for her in my brother, Theo. They don't need another.

I wanted to see how everyone responds to the language barrier. My parents are so in love with the small boy the language issues isn't even a thought to them. What impresses me is that instead of getting upset no one understands him Silas is trying to learn.

"Come on we need to get to the airport!" My dad yells pounding on the door. I'm already up and ready but my brothers are still in bed. I sigh and walk over to the first one.

"Levi, Theo, get up!" I say removing their blankets. The 16 year old twins grumble as they make their way out of bed. You wouldn't know they are twins to look at them but they still have that creepy twin thing where they seem to always know what's going on with one another.

"Paul, Avery, you too." I say giving them the same treatment. Paul is 17 and Avery is 14. We fought over who had to share beds and who got the couch. I'm the oldest at 19 so I win. I told the twins they shared the womb so they can share a bed for a couple nights. They didn't fight too much but Paul threw a fit that he had to share with the youngest of us. Avery tends to kick in his sleep... but I guess I can't call him the youngest any more.

It took a while to get the boys ready, especially Paul who refused to get up until dad threatened to whop him. Finally we are on our way to the airport.

The kids stayed quiet in the car. They were good all the way until we were boarding the plane.

"No!" Silas yells in his language but our parents look confused. "No plane! No fly! No go! No, No, NO!" He continues to scream.

"Buddy, it's okay. Flying is perfectly safe." Dad tries to calm him realizing the problem but the boy has himself all worked up.

I watch as his panic turns to panting. I figured he would calm down after he was done yelling but panicked myself when his face began to turn blue. I can't just stand by as he panics himself to death. I walk over to the frantic child and kneel in front of him.

"Look at me Little brother." I say in his language and he looks at me stunned. "Deep breaths bud. In and out. Breathe with me." I coach him into calming down. "Now why are you afraid of flying?"

"Not me Lee." He answers and I look at the girl who is frozen in place with a distant look in her eyes.

"Theo, talk to Lee." I order him and he immediately goes over to the girl. "Theo will take care of Lee. Come on we need to board."

"No." He states firmly. "Lee can't fly. Bad men made her fly. Hurt her family and took her away. She is scared."

"We will protect her, Silas. I promise you. Lee will be okay." He looks at me before walking over to the little girl who still seems absent in her own mind.

Silas starts stroking her hair and whispering in her ear and in a couple minutes she is back with us.

"The big one promised to protect you... do you trust him?" He asks gesturing to me. Lee looks at me for a moment before nodding.

"They seem nice... but I still don' like it... you stay by me bub?" She asks and he nods.

"I sit by Lee. No arguments." He tells me and I smile down at him. Dang it I think I love my little brother. I was trying so hard not to.

"Yes sir, little leader." I say with a chuckle considering he is calling the shots now. "Can we board?" He looks to Lee and back to me before nodding.

"You first."

"We are going to talk about you not telling me you understand him." Dad says as we head onto the plane.

"At the same time we discuss you keeping secrets from our Alpha, Gamma Jackson." I respond and we board the plane.
