Silas POV

I don't like flying. It makes my ears hurt and when the ground disappeared I swear I wanted to scream!

"It's okay little brother." The oldest boy says taking my hand. "Talk to me. It's a good distraction."

"What's your name?" I ask him.

"Well technically it's Jackson, but that's also dad's name so I go by Jay... except for grandma she likes to call me little Jacky." He cringes and I laugh.

"You aren't so little." I tell him and he smiles.

"Try telling that to grandma."

"Os hawt ihntsg od uoy ikle ot od, Silas?" I look over at dad when I hear the name that is now mine... well I guess it was always mine but still its nice to have someone call me by a name. My name.

I look to Jay for him to tell me what dad said.

"He asked what things you like to do." He tells me. "Wait how about you tell me then I'll whisper how to say it so dad can understand you. That way you can start to learn our language." I nod before thinking of an answer.

"I like to build things." I say and Jay whispers what to say in my ear one word at a time so I know what means what.

Jackson POV (Dad)

I'm still upset with my oldest. It would have been so much easier on all of us if he would have mentioned he could communicate with Silas. I knew that Scott had the boys studying multiple languages but I don't remember all the ones they know. I know he can speak English and Italian because we raised all our kids speaking both but I think he has learned 3 more and I can't tell you what they are. I know Jay is upset about me not telling Scott about Silas but how could I? By typical Werewolf rules we shouldn't have adopted him.

Watching Jay with Silas almost makes up for him not telling us... who am I kidding it makes up for it in spades because now I can speak to my newest son.

"I... like... to... build... things" Silas tells me focusing on how to say each word. "And... watching.... movie... with... Lee." He adds whispering back and forth with Jay. "Lee... play... soccer... I... watch."

"Do you like to play?" I ask and Jay glares at me not translating.

"He can barely walk on his own. Do you really think he plays sports?" Jay asks and I frown. He's right.

"Ask him what he likes to build." I say and he nods before talking with Silas again.

"I like... cars... and.... boats... Lee... Helps.. me... I like... that." He tells me. Man he and Lee really are close.

"Would you like to help me with a car I'm working on?" I ask and watch his eyes go wide when Jay translates.

"Real... car?" He asks and I chuckle at how excited that made him before nodding.

"It's a '68 Shelby Mustang. Beautiful blue. I'll be putting a whole new engine in it along with just about everything else. It's little more than a shell right now but the body is nice and once I get all the parts it will be amazing... wait I have a picture on my phone."

"Like I said she's beautiful but has been gutted

"Like I said she's beautiful but has been gutted. Guy I bought it from was gonna fix her up but once he got the body work done he ran out of money to finish the job. His wife was hounding him to get rid of it so I got a good price." I tell the boy handing over my phone. He mumbles something then looks at Jay who tells him what I said.

"Beautiful." Silas says after whispering with Jay. "I help... build?" Silas asks. I know he is just parroting what Jay says right now but I love hearing him talk to me. I can't wait for Lee to do the same but the princess is fast asleep in her seat.

"Of course you can." I smile and nod. "I could use the help. Your brother's have no interest in working on cars, just driving them."

"I drive?" He asks making us all laugh

"When you are older." I answer and the boy frowns looking away.

Silas POV

When I get older. Thats what Jay told me dad said... if I get older... I frown tired of talking and look over a sleeping Lee out the window. The sky is not as scary as looking them in the face when they decide I'm not worth the effort.

"You akyo, Silas?" Dad asks. It takes me a minute to realize what he said but all this talking has helped. I nod.

"You tell him I'm fine?" I ask Jay.

"Well you remember the first word is I for when you are talking about yourself..." he starts trying to get me to repeat him.

"You just say it please? I don't want to talk any more." I ask and he nods looking worried.

"You don't have to try using our language but can you please tell me what's going on in your head? You're worrying me pup." He says and I give him a look. Lee called me that before, pup. Why do people keep saying that?

"Pup?" I ask and he sighs.

"It's a term we use for a child... now what's wrong?" He asks. I don't know who all the 'we' is considering both Lee and Jay used it but I just shrug it off. Whatever.

"I'm not going to get much older." I tell him and he looks sad so I look back out the window but Lee moves catching my eye. "You take care of Lee... you promised." I say turning back to him.

"We'll take care of both of you."

I nod deciding not to argue. I may be dying but they will take care of Lee. That's what matters.
