Meloetta was humming happily as she held on to Ash's head and Victini and Pikachu were on Ash's shoulders. She was having fun, actual fun, she had to be invisible when they had to go to large Cities, but aside from that, she was enjoying herself. Cynthia's home was really large and Ash was really nice to be with and meeting the rest of his Pokemon was fun. Ash had called his older Tepig or rather Emboar to Unova a few days ago. The larger fire type was very sweet and welcoming and part of Kanto's fire defense.

Emboar, -I was not always wanted either, so trust me, I understand how it feels.-

Pignite, -I see, we really got the bad end of the stick.-

Emboar, -True but we met Ash as well. So I don't mind the fact I was abandoned anymore, you know?-

Pignite nodded, -Meeting Ash was one of the best things to happen to me. He is so kind and gentle and always listens to what I have to say.-

Emboar smiled, -Yes, indeed so, forget the old trainer, consider them our test of survival for getting a wonderful trainer. Besides I heard Ash already took care of both our ex trainers.-

Pignite's eyes widened, -Oh? I mean Charizard mentioned it too before.-

Emboar nodded smirking, -Yes, I believe that fire lizard had a fun time hunting them.-

Pignite, -Eh? Why would he do that?-

Emboar, -Ash gave him carte blanche to act as needed to protect those who are important to him. That includes doing certain things to keep the rest of us safe.-

Pignite looked at the ground, -Oh! I didn't realize that.-

Meloetta who had been quietly listening floated to them and spoke up, -Do not feel disheartened fire warrior. It's true you have been through a lot but you also overcame those odds and found someone who loves you and cares for you.-

Pignite nodded and then ran towards Ash and hugged him reaching his chest. Ash was surprised but smiled and bent down a bit, hugging the fire type back. Ash asked if he was alright and Pignite assured him everything was fine only for Emboar to pick them both up. Ash and Pignite gave a happy shout as they made themselves comfortable on the large Pokemon's shoulders.

Dawn, "I kinda want an Emboar now."

Iris, "That does look fun."

Cynthia came out, "You look like you are having fun."

Cilan, "Lunch is ready."

Ash, "We are just training together and helping Iris and Dawn prepare for the Junior Cup."

Cynthia, "You are not taking part."

Ash, "Not this time."

Ash looked at where Meloetta and Victini were playing, "I would have loved to but well let's just say Victini still has a bit of a problem."

Dawn snickered, "He can't stop himself from trying to bless Ash's Pokemon during the battles."

Ash, "Which would be very unfair to the other trainers taking part."

Cilan nodded, "I see, that is understandable. Are you sure though?"

Cynthia, "Alder was looking forward to battling you if you cleared the Cup. He is going to be disappointed you didn't even take part."

Ash, "Something tells me I will be running into him anyway. I can battle him any time he wants really."

Cynthia, "Hmm, that's true."
