Battle Scars (Yang x Male Reader) RWBY Vol. 3

Divide and Conquer (Part 2)

Opening with Penny's perspective.

Penny headed towards the edge of the colosseum opposite where Ruby and the other students had gone. Penny was struggling with a virus forcing her to act against her will. Penny did her best but the virus was strong. Amidst the chaos of the grimm attacking the citizens Penny managed to speed past the guards by propelling herself with her swords in gun mode. Penny made her way onto a ship and took out the guards protecting it by knocking one off the edge and blasting the other away. Penny stopped for a moment after fighting the guards as though she was conflicted twitching and clenching her head trying to fight off the virus that was controlling her.

Penny: No! Stop! Get out of my head!

But she couldn't beat it and soon was forced to continue to follow its orders as she proceeded to fight off the guards on the ship and hijacked it to pilot it to Beacon's school grounds.

Switching to Ruby's perspective.

Ruby was onboard an airship that was escorting her and the other students she was with to the school grounds. She and the other students saw as there was a sudden explosion on General Ironwood's ship as it then began to plummet towards the city. Ruby and the other students were shocked. But then Ruby remembered that their lockers were all now in the colosseum's battlegrounds. So Ruby began to run towards the back of the airship.

Sun: Ruby! What are you doing!?

Ruby ignored Sun focused on her goal and opened the back of the airship so that she could make a leap back to the colosseum. The jump was far but with the help of her semblance Petal Burst, she was able to make it. She then used her Petal Burst semblance again and made her way back to the battlegrounds. She then got to her locker and typed a code in to launch it towards the ship General Ironwood was going after. Ruby then hooked onto it with Crescent Rose and the locker took off and soared through the air with Ruby as it soon landed on the top of the ship. Ruby then looked around to try and find an entrance to the ship from above. However, she soon saw an airship similar to the one she was on only moments ago fly up to the top of the ship. Ruby then saw as Penny jumped out through the windshield and landed on the other side of the ship from Ruby as the ship drifted off as it no longer had a pilot. Penny had the same red glow in her eyes as back in the colosseum. Ruby was deeply worried. Her friend Penny must be under the control of something but she didn't know what.

Ruby: Penny! This isn't you! You're stronger than whatever it is that's making you do this!

Ruby saw as Penny trembled slightly but her expression remained a serious gaze at Ruby. Penny then deployed all of her swords and pointed them at Ruby.

Penny: Priority target, silver-eyed warrior acquired.

Ruby was shocked. She was now forced to fight her own friend. Not only that she was also confused. Why would she be a "priority target" because of her silver eyes?

Switching to Blake's perspective.

Blake was fighting her way through the schoolyards alongside Weiss. Weiss was focused on fighting the hordes of now corrupt Atlesian knights that were glowing red. Weiss was dashing through them with the help of her Glyphs semblance and destroying the knights with her Myrtenaster. Blake was focused on fighting the White Fang members that have made their way to the school grounds. Blake knocked a group of them away as she flung Gambrol Shroud at them while tied to her ribbon. She then pulled it back and began fighting the oncoming horde. Blake slashed at one White Fang member and knocked them away before she dashed up to another White Fang member and kicked them away. But Blake quickly began to get overwhelmed by the oncoming horde of White Fang members as she began to block their attacks and was forced to use her shadow semblance to avoid their attacks. But quickly Weiss stepped in and blasted them all away with another one of her glyphs. Blake then saw some Atlas guards getting attacked by a corrupt Atlesian Paladin. Weiss gestured to Blake for them to go help.
