She needed to make her way inside. She needed to get to Amelia Earhart, the alien that infected her. If what Brooklyn was theorizing was correct, then alien Amelia Earhart's blood was the answer to curing her infection. She could do it. She was smart. She could figure out a way to engineer an antidote from the alien's blood

Brooklyn jumps off the ground, using the spike in energy from hearing Maddie's heartbeat to knocks the knees out of the alien that had her in a choke hold

Dropping the last alien to the ground, Brooklyn stumbles forwards and rushes towards the hut. She makes her way to the door, not even bothering with the doorknob as she throws her shoulder into the wooden door and it splinters open

And there, laying dead on the floor, was alien Amelia Earhart

"No..." Brooklyn whispers, snapping out of her frozen state and running over to the alien's body on the ground. She throws herself to her knees, not even worried about the pain from the jagged floor that was cutting into her skin, and shakes the alien. "No, no, no, no!" She exclaims, shaking the alien's body

The only reason Brooklyn cared about the alien being dead was because she needed the alien's blood, not because she actually cared about alien Amelia Earhart

"Come on, you can't be dead!" Brooklyn exclaims through her teeth, smacking the alien's face over and over again as if she could smack the alien back to life. "You infected me you asshole!" She yells through her rage, her eyes filled with tears. "You're the only one that can cure me!" She yells, smacking the alien once again

But it was no use. The alien was dead. And with the infection spreading rapidly, the purple veins making their way to Brooklyn's eyes, she too would soon be dead

"This can't be it..." Brooklyn whispers through tears, slumping over the alien's dead body with her forehead resting on the alien's shoulder. "...this can't be it..." She whispers desperately. And once again, she is reminded of everything that she has gone through, the hell that she has been through. And the fact that she has done too much, come too far, for it to be over now. She needed to think. She needed to clear her head and do what she does best: find a solution to the problem

And, with her forehead touching the skin of the alien's shoulder, Brooklyn does just that: finds a solution. Brooklyn lifts her head slightly, looking down at the alien's body and wiping her tears. When her forehead was pressed to the alien's skin, she felt warmth. And if the alien's body was still warm, that meant one crucial thing: the blood was still viable. The alien was killed moments before Brooklyn got there. And if the blood was still viable, she had to act quickly

Brooklyn jumps up from the floor, stumbling with dizziness, and rushes to the table where Amelia Earhart had kept her belongings. Brooklyn studied this place the first time that she was here with Sara and Gary. It's one of the things that she always did in a new situation: studied and memorized the area she was in, looking for any and all possible exits if anything went wrong as well as memorizing what was in the place should she need a weapon

And memorizing this place sure came in handy. She didn't know anything about why Amelia Earhart had certain belongings but she did know that within those belongings on the table was a small glass vial. A small glass empty vial. And she could use that
