She didn't know how long they sat there.

His arm was around her waist, and her head rested on his shoulder.

"You know," He said softly, breaking the silence, "You're going to have to explain this to me eventually, because I have no idea what the hell is going on."

Skye sighed, and lifted her head, "Fine. But if you're going to be mad, I need a twelve minute notice."

Bash snorted, "How can I be mad at you when you're being all cute like that."

She nudged him playfully, "May I speak now?"

He shrugged, "Go ahead."

"Thanks. So for starters, when I said I heard everything, apparently I didn't. I heard you say that you used me to avoid the drama and I freaked out and ran away. Then, surprisingly, Ashley told me what really happened."

To her surprise, Bash started to laugh.

"What?" She asked, confused.

"Nothing," He muttered after his fit of giggles was over, "I can't believe you assumed something like that. What were you doing at my house, anyway?"

"Oh," She muttered, staring at her hands, "Yeah, I wrote my father a letter."

His arms tightened around her, "Did I ruin it?"

She smiled, "Sort of. But I sent it."

He smiled at her and pulled her closer. "I'm proud of you," He muttered, kissing her nose softly, "I bet he was so happy."

She smiled and snuggled back into him.

Then she realized something.

She jumped up.

"I have to go home."

Bash looked concerned, "Everything okay?"

"My dad, he's being discharged."
