Robin seemed a little too happy when Steve picked her up the next day, and his first guess was that it was because of all the ice cream he had bought her the night before. They had been sitting on the parking lot with a full box of strawberry flavored ice cream for almost an hour after their shift ended, just eating and eating until both of them complained about stomach pain and drove to Robin's house and crashed in her sofa for another hour.

But when she stepped into the car, she placed her instrument cover between her legs and he understood promptly what was going on.

"Excited for band practice, are we?" Steve smirked at her. She turned around to look at him as she put on her seat belt and gave him the devils eye.

"Oh shut it, lover boy." Robin muttered at him as she pulled down the sun shade and started digging in her bag for what Steve guessed was mascara. "You will wait for me after school, right?" She said, seemed to find what she had been looking for and a second later she opened her mascara and started applying it on her lashes, looking straight into the mirror attached to the sun shades.

"I don't know. Will I?" Steve teased her, his hands on the steering wheel and his eyes zig zagging between Robin and the road in front of him.

"Yes you will, because I need someone to drive me home, and someone to scream at if I mess up. Alright?" Her voice went from soft to her typical aggressive - exited voice while she spoke.

"Alright, I guess I will wait for you after school." He agreed with a deep sigh. He couldn't help but smile at her. He definitely didn't have a crush on her, anymore, but a part of him would always look at her as the most precious woman on earth.

"Good. Did you finish the math homework yesterday like I told you to?"

"No."

"Steeeevee!"

"I had a stomachache, what was I supposed to do?!"

Steve had been expecting to see Eddie today, but as the final bell rang and he started heading for the gym (where he was supposed to sit for an hour and wait for Robin), he found himself almost disappointed in not bumping into him. He wanted to see if it would be, or feel, different seeing Eddie after their little chit chat in the store yesterday, which he guessed was a normal reaction for most people. But he really did feel an empty lump in his stomach when he sat down on a bench outside the gym and placed his back pack between his legs, knowing that he hadn't bumped into the long, curly haired boy all day.

He hadn't met Dustin either, or Mike, and it felt really strange not talking to them for an entire day since he used to have at least two conversations with each of them a day. It didn't make him sad, but it did feel kind of strange. The kind of strangeness of being alone, even though he had Robin following him almost everywhere.

He watched as people entered the gym, person after person, carrying all different types of instruments and not giving him a glance at all. Most of them were probably already used to him sitting here every practice waiting for Robin. And the people who actually looked at him for a second or two whispered things about him being the asshole he used to be as a junior, or him hanging out with kids, or being best friend with a lesbian, or the fact that he had to go an extra year in school for not getting good enough grades (according to his father).

He sighed thinking about it, looked down on his lap and shook his head in frustration, his soft brown hair covering most of his view. He hated his father when it came to that matter. School. His father had always been strict and had taught Steve to take care of himself at a very early age, but whenever it came to school it wasn't like he was his father anymore but a teacher. He already knew now that he'd be sent far away to go to collage, even though he didn't want to. His mother didn't have a voice when it came to the discussion.

"Harrington."

Steve looked up and got surprised by seeing Dustin standing there wearing one of his stupid colorful caps and a baggy T-shirt, but he wasn't taken aback until he saw the older male standing behind him. With his iconic jeans vest, hand pushed into his jeans pockets and his hair just as curly as always. Eddie.

"W-What?" Was all Steve could get out of his mouth. He must admit he felt relieved seeing both of them, but it was hell of a confusion as well. "How did you know that I was here?"

"We didn't. We have been searching around the entire school for like an hour." Dustin complained as he sat down next to him, breathing heavy and leaning his head against the wall behind them. "I gotta ask you something."

"What do you want, Henderson?" Steve glanced up at Eddie and then looked back at Dustin, with the look of Eddie playing in the back of his head. Just the image of what he looked like at the moment.

"We have nowhere to have Eddie's campaign on Saturday, cause Gareth's parents changed their plans and they'll be home and I happen to know that your parents won't be back for at least another month." He paused and looked up at Steve. "Can we please be at your place?"

Steve just looked at him. Confused. Happy. More confused. "Why my place? Isn't it easier for someone in the group to host it?" He asked, looked up at Eddie as he rolled his lips into a thin line. Steve had never seen him this silent before. He believes it was because of Eddie's weird desire to not ask people for help, at all. And definitely not from Steve The King Harrington. He had heard from Dustin that Eddie found it hard needing people, and that people being Steve Harrington would probably just make it worse.

"Yeah, but your place is really big, which means that we have access to both toilets, food, couch, floor, ta-"

"Alright, alright." Steve sighed. I have nothing better to do, so I guess I can.." He sighed again, his eyes wandering back to Eddie. "Let you be at my place on Saturday." He swallowed hard. Hellfire club at his place? Eddie at his place? He thought about for a second and it seemed just as weird and scary as it made him a little excited.

"Thank you! Thank you!" Dustin slapped him in the back of his head and stood up from the bench with quick feet. "Honestly, Steve, you're the best!"

Steve gave him a high five with his left hand placed on the back of his head where Dustin had just slapped the living shit out of him. Dustin then left the corridor and started running back towards whatever he was running towards.

Eddie stood left in front of Steve. They looked at each other with confusion, either of them probably having no idea why or where Dustin had just ran off to.

"So... Saturday." Eddie said awkwardly. It felt more awkward than it sounded.

"Saturday." Steve repeated with a shaky breath. Eddie looked at him for a couple more seconds before he broke their eye contact and started walking the same way as Dustin had just left off. Steve watched him, as Eddie glanced back at him one last time, and then disappeared out of sight.

His stomach was filled with unknown bubbles, and his heart beat slightly harder as he leaned back towards the wall with a relieved sigh. He couldn't help but let a soft smile wander up in the corner of his lips. He was happy that Dustin had come and asked him for a favour, cause he had really felt like he wasn't needed anymore the last couple of weeks, but the thought of an entire Dungeons And Dragons campaign taking place at his house made him a little worried.

Robin came out twenty minutes later, and she started immediately talking about Vickie when they sat down in the car and started driving towards her house. Vickie this, Vickie that.

The thing with Robin is that when she starts talking, or more specifically starts talking about something she's interested in or worried about, she find it hard to stop talking. Steve thought it was because she had grown up with a lot of big brothers - the youngest being 9 years older than her - and alway had to fight to have five minutes of talking without someone interrupting her.

And she was still talking when he dropped her off at her house, her mom waving Steve goodbye on the porch.

Steve loved her though, and all her rambling. But on the way back to his own house, there was only one thing running through his head and that was Eddie Munson. The freak, the outcast, Steve's complete opposite.
