Steve woke up with a smile the next day, jumping out of his bed and seeing the sun shine through his window. He stretched to the right and to the left, and it didn't take him long before he pulled down his boxers and grabbed a new pair, along with a pair of jeans and a sweater, leaving the room and walking all the way to the bathroom naked with the only coverage being the clothes he was carrying against his waist. He turned on the shower, stepped inside before the water turned hot and laughed by the feeling of goosebumps running down on his skin.

He felt amazing. Amazing.

He didn't expect the conversation he had with Nancy yesterday to have any effect, but it truly did. He felt happy for once, delighted, horny, and excited about school. He could think about his night with Eddie and not cry, but smirk and feel how sweat started to build up on his skin instead. He could think about it and instead of crying about how miserable he was for liking a boy, he could stand in the shower at half past six in the morning and please himself.

He ate a proper breakfast, fixed his hair and put on a decent amount of the finest perfume he had. And after that, he drove off to pick up Robin ten minutes earlier and when he arrived at her doorstep, she was standing trying to get her bike out from the garage. He opened the door, stood behind it and leaned his arms against the top of it.

"You want a ride, or what?" He smirked at her. Robin turned around and looked him up and down and couldn't help but smile as she shook her head in laughter. She pushed back the bike into the garage, grabbed her backpack and ran towards the car with a big smile glued on her lips.

"You idiot." Robin sat down in the passenger seat and Steve laughed lightly before he sat back down and closed the door, gave he a high five before he started driving them to school. It felt amazing having Robin back in his passenger seat again, even though it was sunny outside, and even though it had only been 3 days. "How come you're so happy today? I mean, it's terrific but.. how?" Robin laughed as she started digging in her backpack, just like any other day, and pulled out a mascara. Steve pushed on the radio, lowered the volume a little and started thrumming his fingers against the steering wheel along with the rhythm of the music.

"I woke up, took a shower, jerked off, put on some really comfortable clothes and used my favourite perfume. That's why." Steve chuckled, glanced at Robin with a smirk as she pulled down the sun shades.

"Too much information, dingus. Too much." Robin looked at him with a disgusted face, gave off a light giggle before she opened her mascara and started applying it. Steve watched her, smiling.

"You know, mom came home from work yesterday and started complaining about the lasagna dad did for dinner, and I couldn't understand why, cause it was really tasty. But then she explained that the meet was from Spain and that dad already knows that mom lonely want American meat cause that's -"

Steve couldn't catch up with watch Robin was talking about anymore, and decided to just sit and nod until they parked in the school parking lot and they'd eventually talk about something else than.. whatever Robin was talking about.

"We've got chemistry now, right?" Robin said as they walking through the doors to the school. Steve nodded, looking down on his wrist watch. "Okay, go and wait by the classroom, I'll be there in a second!" Robin said in a rush, and Steve could just look up at her before she had started running off down the hall. Steve rolled his eyes, wonton he's walking down the hall with his heavy backpack pressed against his shoulders. He sighed as he leaned against the wall to the chemistry classroom. The door was locked like always and most of his classmates were already there.

Steve could feel his body freeze a little when he saw Eddie turn down the corridor and walk towards them, two of his friends following behind him. He didn't look away, and instead of a knot in his throat, he felt a ticklish feeling in his stomach. He couldn't describe it better than to say that he got a little nervous by seeing the curly head.

Eddie could just glance at Steve with a irritated, numb face before he got pushed down on the floor by a tall blonde boy with basketball team jacket.

"Look where you're going, freak." Jason laughed behind him as he gave one of his buddies a high five and laughed as they looked down on Eddie. Eddie stood up from the floor, brushed his palms against his Hellfire T-shirt, and smirked a little.

"Go home and polish your balls, Jason!" He shouted out, rolling his eyes while laughing. Jason just kept on walking, not paying any attention to what Eddie just had said. His friends said something to him and laughed lightly, and Steve didn't look away from them as they walked up to the same wall as he was leaning himself toward. Eddie's two friends started talking about wizard or something Steve couldn't understand, and his eyes was still layer on the curly haired boy who was leaning against the wall a few meters away from him.

Steve cleared his throat nervously, and before he had made up his mind, he took his first step towards Eddie, his eyes in the ground all the time to the point where they were standing next to each other, shoulder touching. Steve could feel that Eddie was mad at him, or irritated at least, and he understood why. He wouldn't want to be left behind like that at 5.30 am either.

"What kind of balls were you pointing at?" Steve said quietly, leaning slightly towards Eddie as he looked up on the people around them. He eventually looked up at Eddie, who was still wearing a numb face that finally broke down to a smile when he met Steve's eyes.

"Oh, damn you, Harrington." Eddie sighed happily. "Can't you just let me be angry at you?" He looked down on Steve and crossed his arms. Steve smiled up at him and shook his head.

"Nope."

They looked into each other's eyes for another second before they looked away again, both feeling all fizzy inside. Steve couldn't help but think about their night together, or more specific the conversation they shared before they fell asleep, and his stomach got even more ticklish and his hands started to turn sweaty.

"Eddie." Steve breathed out as he turned to look at the boy again. He was feeling that strange feeling again, in his stomach, that made him want to touch him and all those other weird things he had imagined himself doing.

"Steve." Eddie said plain, looked down at Steve with questioning eyes.

"Come over to my house tonight?" He said it more like a question than an order and his eyes couldn't help but to look around to make sure no one was paying necessary attention to them.

"Okay." Eddie said, his face straight. Steve nodded. They both looked away from each other and finally felt like they were able to smile out their feelings.

Robin arrived at the same time as the teacher, and she asked in curiosity what was going on when Steve looked at her with a giggling smile. He didn't answer her, however, and just pushed her inside the classroom. He gave Eddie one last glance, a glance that made him finally realise what he had been searching for the last couple of years. It was always there, he had just been looking in the wrong direction.
