Chapter 23

I woke up in Clay's arms. I smiled remembering yesterday and the Lake. I rolled over so I was facing him. He was still asleep. I planted a light kiss on each cheek, his forehead, and finally his lips to wake him up. He smiled. "I could wake up to that everyday." He growled. I smirked and moved to get up but he wrapped his arms around me and wouldn't let me get up. He rolled over so he was on top of me pinning me to the bed. He kissed all down my neck to the top of my tank top and back up to my lips. "We have company over. We have to get up!" I whinned. Just then Jim and Adam burst through the door. I laughed at the look on their faces. "Dude! We are literally sleeping in the other room! Keep it together until we leave!!" Jim hollered. I laughed and Clay groaned and buried his face into the pillow behind me. Adam saw I had clothes on and laughed. He then looked at Jim who nodded and they ran to opposite sides of the bed and jumped in smashing me and Clay between them. I tried to push Clay off of me and Jim and Adam away so I could get up. They just squeezed tighter together and laughed. "Mar come help me!" I hollered. She appeared in the door way and saw all four of us in the bed and died laughing. She came over to Adam and tried to move him off of the bed, but he just grabbed her and pulled her down with us. After struggling for a few minutes I finally got out from under Clay and squeezed my way from between him and Jim. I got up before Clay could grab me and ran out of the room. I heard Jim and Clay holler and I laughed and ran out into the living room and out the front door. I was out of breath from laughing that I had to stop in the front yard. I didn't hear Clay come up behind me. He wrapped his arms around me and picked me up "Where do you think you're going?" "Away from you!" I squealed. He just laughed and sat down on the ground still holding on to me. "You know youre completely crazy." I threw in. He just smirked. "You know all the best people are." I looked at him. "Quoting Alice in Wonderland are we?" He nodded. "Maybe." I just rolled my eyes and laid my head on his shoulder. We sat like that for a while before I heard the door open and the sound of two grown men and one teenage girl come off the porch. "You know I'm starting to really not like our friends." Clay sighed. I laughed. "Hey I heard that!" Adam whinned. Jim came around and sat down right beside Clay and slowly started inching his way towards Clay. Before long he had one leg wrapped around Clay's and his head on Clay's shoulder. He looked up at him dreamily and started stroking his cheek and I almost died from laughter. "Clay baby I missed you! What do you wanna do today?" He asked in a girly voice. Clay turned bright red and me and Margret were breathless from laughing so hard. Adam sat on his knees behind him and wrapped his arms around him and laid his head where mine was. "Can I sleep with you tonight handsome?" Adam asked and kissed his cheek. Clay turned even more red if that was possible and Adam and Jim fell back in the grass laughing. I sat there away from them with Margret laughing so hard we couldn't breathe. After a few minutes I finally recovered. I got up and went over to Clay who was still red. "Come on handsome." I winked at him and grabbed his hand and tried to pull him up but he pulled me down and laid me down in the grass and he laid beside me. I looked up at him and smiled. "I love you." He whispered. I smiled bringing his face down to mine. "I love you too my sweet boy." He looked down at my lips and smirked. I rolled my eyes and brought his lips down so the were only centimeters from mine. He closed his eyes and waited for my lips to meet his. I looked up at Jim and motioned him over. He snickered and came over and liked his lips and planted a big wet sloppy kiss on Clay's cheek. Clay's eyes shot open and he glared at Jim as I died laughing still beside him. Clay looked down at me. "I'll be right back." He told me and he jumped up and ran after Jim who was already up and running towards the front door. I sat up and watched the two run after each other. Jim got up on the front porch and ran to the end and jumped off and head back towards me. "Go Jim!" I cheered which earned me a look from Clay. I stuck my tongue out at him and he just shook his head. Jim reached me and stopped and picked me up. I screamed. "Put me down you big oaf!" I ordered. He just ignored me and started running for the backyard with me still in his arms. He ran to the back yard and started towards my house. Thankfully none of the backyards between here and my house had any fences or this would be difficult. "Is there I reason you picked me up and brought me with you?" I groaned. He looked down at me and smirked. "Gives your boyfriend incentive." I just smirked and looked back and saw Clay coming up behind us. "He's catching up." I warned Jim. Jim sighed and picked up speed. I laughed and held on tighter. Jim finally made it to my backyard and ran around to the side of the house and hid behind a big bush. Clay just made it to the edge of my backyard. Jim just shook his head and headed off around the front of the house and started running through the front yards back to Clay's house. Jim didn't stop running until he was back in Clay's front yard. He ran up to the front door and pushed it Open. He finally put me down and put his finger infront of his mouth to tell me to be quiet. I followed him up stairs into on of the bedrooms facing the front yard. We were standing in the window ducking when Clay finally got back to his own yard. I laughed. He was red faced and doubled over trying to catch his breath. He asked Adam and Margret, who were sitting in the front yard laughing, where me and Jim were. They played it off as if they hadn't seen us come through just minutes before. Clay sighed and looked down the road back towards my house and then down the other way to see if he could see either of us. I smirked and looked over at Jim who was chuckling. "We are terrible people." I mumbled and made Jim laugh and his hand fall forward onto the window. I winced and rolled my eyes. It made a loud enough noise that Clay heard it and looked up to the window. I quickly ducked out of the window and hit Jim. "Moron. " He pouted. "Hey! You're the one who made me laugh!" I just shook my head. I looked back outside and saw Clay smirk and head for the house. "He's coming inside!" I whisper-screamed at Jim. Jim held his finger up to his lips again. He got up and shut the door and turned off the light. He grabbed me and climbed into bed. We heard Clay come upstairs and walk towards the door. I looked up at Jim, who was now propped up on one elbow and looking at me, and smirked. Clay came up to the door and Jim bent down and pretended to be makingout with me. Of course we weren't but Clay didn't have to know that. Clay walked in and flipped on the light and Jim turned to look at him and squealed like a little girl. Which caused me to laugh. Clay gave Jim a death glare and Jim looked down at me and died laughing. Clay shot me a look. "I love you honey!" I giggled. He just started walking to the bed and jumped on it and started tickling me. "Stop! Okay I give in! You win" I whinned. Clay just smirked and finally stopped and let me sit up. "But we totally had you fooled." I threw in and grinned. He looked at me. "Oh totally! I had no idea that you were hiding in my house! And I can't believe you made out with one of my bestfriends! How could you do that?" He said sarcastically. I pouted. "It could've been believable. " He rolled his eyes. "Oh totally. " Jim smirked. "Oh I'm totally leaving you for Jim." I winked at Jim and he wiggled his eye brows at me. "I think it's true love." Clay looked at me then back at Jim and laughed. I tried to be serious, but it didn't work for long. I was laughing too and so was Jim. From the outside we probably looked crazy. Three people all sitting up in one bed dieing laughing. Pretty soon Adam and Margret came up and gave us worried looks. "Uhh is everything okay?" Margret asked. "Oh yeah. Elana is leaving me for Jim. I walked in on them making out in this very bed." Clay explained laughing. "It's true love!" I threw in and Jim shot me a wink. Adam just shook his head and turned to walk away and mumbled. "You people are completely crazy." "All the best people are!" Clay hollered after him. After a few minutes we all calmed down. I looked over at Clay and kissed him. "You know we're all totally crazy." I said after a few minutes. "Better to be all together and crazy, than all alone and completely sane." Jim answered. I nodded and smiled. "Thats a true statement. " Clay grabbed my hand and pulled me up and started leading me downstairs. Jim followed us and we found Adam and Margret on the couch watching tv. We sat down in the living room with them. Margret looked over at me and smiled. I returned the smile and looked up at Clay who was now talking. "You know I think if we are all five crazy, then I think we are the same one and everyone else is just crazy." I just shook my head as Jim laughed and Adam smirked. We all sat in silence for a few minutes just watching tv, when suddenly the doorbell rang.
