*next day* I walked over to the fruit section of the grocery store and picked up 2 peaches, examining their freshness before sitting them in the basket
"Nani" i heard making me turn around. I saw a face i never thought i would ever see again.
"Malik?"
"Hey girl how you been?" He smiled
I moved my basket over, flashing my belly which obviously caught his attention
"I've been really good. Preparing to be a
mom how about you?" I asked
"I been good too..obviously not as good as you. Ja morants baby right?"
"Yeah" i smiled
"Where is he?" He asked
I know how malik is as a person so his questions didn't make me uncomfortable at all
"He's right there" i said waving ja over
He came over and took the basket from my hands but i noticed him eyeing malik
"Oh shit it's nice to meet you" malik chuckled
"Yeah" ja nodded
"Well ima go. It was nice seeing you nani" malik finished then walked away
"Sorry" i said looking him in his eyes
"It's okay. How's my kaari?" He said putting his hand on my belly
"She's happy right now. I know you want peach cobbler and i'll make it but can we also have strawberry shortcake?" I asked him
"Yeah of course" he nodded then kissed my forehead
I smiled and we continued to shop together then we went to the front of the store, standing in line
I was perfectly fine one second but out of nowhere the world started spinning
I turned around and laid my head down on ja's abdomen making him rub my back
"You okay?" He asked me
I shook my head then put my arms around him closing my eyes
We moved up and paid then he got me to the car where the driver was waiting with the door open
"Ouu it is so hot" i said pulling my hair up into a hand held ponytail
"Here" he pulled a hair tie from his wrist and wrapped it around my hair before pulling me into his arms
"Who was that guy?" Ja asked me
"Just someone i knew from high school..is it hot to you ja?" I said fanning myself
"I feel fine. Here ima turn the air up" he said and did it
I pulled my dress down and laid my head on him as my body began to shut down
"Ja i don't feel good" i mumbled as i started to feel out of my body
