Me and ja woke up a little later today. Usually our days start at or before 6 but today we slept in later
While i prepared a bottle for kaari, ja went to wake her up and get her ready for the day in the sense that he'd give her a bath and make sure she was straight
I pulled out some of my leftover breast milk then warmed it for her and put it in her bottle before sitting at the table and starting research on the best formula i could use for her
Since i'm back to chemo, I can't breast feed so she has to go back to formula
Ja brought her downstairs and picked up her bottle.
"Goodmorning kaari j mommy's so happy to see you" i gasped giving her a gentle kiss
She smiled and reached her hand out making me smile. Ja put her bottle in her mouth but she denied it at first which is what she's been doing since she's used to drinking directly from my breast and obviously a bottle nipple isn't the same
Eventually she gave in and started drinking her milk. Ja sat next to me as i kept looking on all types of websites, unofficial and official before ultimately deciding to call doctor long

Good morning doctor im wonderful but i just have a question for you as a friend. Did your wife breastfeed or formula feed your children?
They were formula fed. She didn't have the proper time to breast feed
Okay because i was breast feeding kaari but now i have to switch to formula for obvious reasons. Do you remember which formula you guys used?
Well the formula we used discontinued but if you're switching to formula with kaaris situation, i think i'd recommend similac but i am not a pediatrician, i'm an oncologist
I understand. But with similac have you ever seen it being used? Maybe a patient orr family member? Any background knowledge on the milk that could help me decide whether it's best for my princess or not
I don't think so. I really recommend that you call your pediatrician tho nani like i mentioned that's not my field

"Oh i'm sorry baby. Let me make you breakfast" i got up since p took the day off
"It's okay we could order in if you want" he shrugged
"It's fine i do know how to cook you know" i said laughing as i pulled out everything to make us omelettes
"Okay chef nani" he laughed too
I cooked for us then sat down and ate our food, talking to ja about anything that came to mind until we finished
"I'll clean up. She's sleeping so i'll just put her in her bed then handle the kitchen for you i know you wanna get ready for toot to get here" he said as he saw me standing up and grabbing his plate
