I woke up hearing kaaris sweet giggles along with her feet running around
I smiled and sat up looking toward the window to see it was cloudy and raining making me get out of bed to open the window
"Kaari" ja whispered loudly as he ran past the room too
A second later his head popped back up in the door frame
"I didn't know you were up..you feel okay? I'm sorry did we wake you up?" He said stumbling over his words
"I feel fine..did you find kaari?" I said shrugging
He looked behind him quick then ran out the room making me laugh softly
I went to the restroom and closed the door then got in the shower just letting the water run over my head
I washed my body like i always do, without paying too much attention to anything until i got to the sink
I was brushing through my hair and felt it looked thin..my hair has never been thin
"Um" i mumbled to myself then looked at my brush
There was a lot of hair in it
I scared myself instantly because i started thinking i had a baldspot so i just pulled out ja's shavers and impulsively started to take everything off
My tears were unstoppable
"Baby" ja knocked at the door
I turned the clippers off and opened the door
He looked down and i saw his face shift from worry to a blank look I couldn't read
"I-it's coming out anyways" i shrugged
He looked at the floor then back up at my eyes and stepped inside the restroom
"I love you nani" he said quietly as he hugged me
I cried in his arms for a bit, letting all my emotions pour out until kaari came in
"Mommy? Daddy? I finished my snack" she said
I lifted my head off of him and wiped my nose as he turned around and picked her up
"You love mommy?" Ja asked her
"Uh huh" she nodded
"How much?"
"Umm..this many" she said and extended her arms to either side of her making me laugh
"Mommy loves you so much too baby kaari you hear me? You're so special to me" i said then kissed her head after ja lowered her a little
"Your hair mommy" she gasped
"Oh yeah..mommys medicine is just making it harder for her to have hair right now so i'm gonna cut it off" i told her
"You look like a boy" she said
"Do i?" I smiled only able to admire her honesty
