Chapter 18

Leo's POV

"Where is the amulet?"

As consciousness started to return to me I heard a voice that I was not familiar with. As I opened my eyes I realized I was laying on my side staring at the floor. Shaking my head slightly I tried to shake away all traces of drowsiness, slowly I moved myself so that I was sitting up.

That's when I realized that my hands were tied behind my back, my eyes scanned the room trying to figure out where I was, noticing that I was in a museum of some sort.

"I will never tell you."

Another deep voice caught my attention, bringing my eyes up I saw a Japanese man standing amongst a few solider that had blue fabric tied around their arms. Standing in front of the man was another man who, had on full body gold armor .

"I know you have it in here Gideon."

The Japanese man said as he stepped closer to the one called 'Gideon' his hand resting on the handle of his sword.  I blinked my eyes several time making sure I could register everything that was happening.

"I made the mistake of helping you once Takeshi. For years we've had these same quarrels, and each time it's the same result. What makes you think that I have it now?"

I was taken back when I heard the name 'Takeshi', the story that April had told us earlier was now replaying in my head. I watched as Takeshi chuckled before snapping his fingers, stepping forward was Matthew with a box that looked like a jewelry box.

"This is the first time that you have actually taking the girl under your close watch. I knew that you would find the amulet in order to keep her safe."

I watched as he opened the the box in Matthews hand and pulled out a gold chain that held a gold circle with Japanese  words engraved on it, an emerald stone in the middle of it. I hoped in my mind that they were not talking who I was thinking about.

"I will not let you touch Isabelle."

There it was the confirmation I was looking for, I felt my eyes widen as I watched the two of them. Takeshi handed the amulet back to Matthew and in one swift movement he grabbed ahold of Gideon's neck. With one hand he lifted the bulky man off the ground.

"You will not stop me Gideon."

Forcefully Takeshi threw him off the platform that we were on. I wasn't able to turn my head and see where he landed because Takeshi had turned his attention to me his cold brown eyes boring into me, pure evil written all over his face .

Now that I was up on my knees I  could get a better view of him as he stepped closer to me, courage started to fill in my chest.

"If you touch Isabelle I swear I will kill you."

Takeshi chuckled at me.

"I'm not afraid of a freak like you. You are only here as bait, but bait doesn't have or be alive."

He motioned towards Matthew before turning his back on me. I let out a slight growl as he stepped foreword pulling his katana out of the sleeve.

"I'm going to enjoy this Leonardo. And when your gone I'll make sure to keep her pleased."

He statement made my blood begin to boil as he lifted his katana up, preparing to bring it down in my head. I refused to look away from him, not willing to lose my honor from a cowards death. Before he could move his arm in the slightest an arrow whizzed by my head, it's head burring itself deep into his shoulder.

He screamed out in pain dropping his sword, his body falling forward in pain. Takeshi turned around as his solders turned and braced themselves for battle. I turned my head to see my rescue team.

Standing around Gideon's unconscious was my brothers all had their weapons drawn, their eyes were white anger. Next to them stood April in a yellow jump suit her black fan ready, Casey was in he usually vigilante entire, and a bat in his hand.

Standing in front of them all on a small stand, wearing a black track suit, a blue silk ribbon tied around her waist a sleeve attached to the side holding small katana. Her black hair braided and laying over her shoulder, by her leg was a giver filled with arrows, a bow in her hands, was none other than Isabelle.

"Takeshi! I'm here! Junko is here!"
