Just as Nicholas had said the following evening Persephone awoke startled and screaming.

"Please no , please!!"

"Hey hey, Seph!" James shouted running into his room where she was currently staying
"Percy?" he pulled her into him in a comforting hug

James was relieved that she was awake and she was surprised to see James.

"James? What are you doing here?" the girl croaked

"Let me get you something to drink first" the boy suggested heading to the kitchen and returning with a glass of water

"Thankyou" she said taking small sips of the drink "Why are you in Nic's house?" she asked eyebrows furrowed

The boy let out a small chuckle "I'm guessing he didn't tell you that we are brothers"

"Ah I can see the resemblance now" the girl smiled

"He was worried for you , yesterday" James muttered "What happened? I mean you don't have to tell me I just -"

"It's fine James I trust you. Before joining hogwarts I used to live at home. I wasn't allowed to go school because I was told that I would ruin the family image. So , I spent my time with Randy or reading books or in the garden. When my brother came back for the holidays I wanted to be with him every second he was back. I wanted us to be proper siblings for just those couple of weeks." she paused taking another small sip of her water and a deep breath

"One night , around a year ago actually , was another full moon. My brother had lycanthropy and so did my father so i was always left in the house alone on those nights.
Usually my father and brother would go out together and find people to bite. Remus was one of them. Harrison hated it so he stayed by the oak tree in our back garden and either took it out on himself or just scratched the oak tree to let his anger out.

I had been studying werewolves the whole term in our library before he came back so that I could help him and I- I thought that i could help.

So I went outside with a bottle of wolfsbane i had made - whether it was made correctly i didn't know i was too determined to help. Harrison took one look at me. In his full moon state I was simply just another body full of blood. He pounced and scarred me from my neck down my chest the one that you saw when we had that detention.

After he realised his mistake he was fed up with himself , fighting himself instead of me ; I refused to leave so he tore himself to shreds. When the sun came back up he had hurt himself too much to be fixed and it was my f-fault" Persephone finished tears running down her eyes slowly

"Percy it's okay I promise." he reassured allowing her head to rest on his shoulder
"Harrison was an amazing person , when I was a first year I used to follow him around" he admitted earning a chuckle from the girl on top of him
"He was good at quidditch , a kind person , smart too and I know he would tell you that you're being too hard on yourself." he finished placing a kiss to her forehead and allowing her to fall asleep on him . Her arms wrapped around his waist , his resting on her keeping her in place.

Hours passed before Euphemia entered the room to check on Persephone and found her asleep with her son. She awed at the two , rushing into her room to take a quick photograph before heading back downstairs to tell her husband she won their bet.

"What do you mean you've won?" Fleamont exclaimed throwing his hands in the air before placing them on his hips

"Pay up" the woman smiled standing infront of him

"I will buy you your liquorice tommorow dear" he sighed with an eye roll

"Thankyou love" she said placing a kiss to his cheek

"What bet?" Nicholas quizzed

A week had passed and Randy was officially a free elf bouncing up and down the walls of the potter manor.
"Randy is a free elf!" he would shout triumphantly
"Thankyou Miss Persephone. Thankyou , thankyou" he cheered shaking her hand and pulling her around the room.

"He seems so happy" Nic pointed out

"So does she" James added "Ow"

"Stop being so smitten" Sirius stated

"What? What about Nic?" James pouted

"He was stating the obvious unless he's smitten for the house elf - which I doubt" he shrugged before pinching James' cheeks
"Jamesie Wamesie you must confess" he cooed at him

"Shut up Sirius" James groaned hoping the girl wouldn't hear him

"We should make a cake to celebrate" Persephone suggested to the small elf

"Randy does enjoy cake" he nodded excitedly

"Euphemia!" Seph called out

"She left for work" Fleamont responded

"Oh"

"Is there anything you need , sweetheart?"

"I was going to ask her for some help baking since I'm still not familiar with the kitchen. I-if you don't mind , I think would be nice to bake Randy a cake Mr Potter" she admitted nervously

"James volunteers" Sirius shouted pulling the boy's hand up

"Sirius that hurts"

"Don't care" he smiled proudly

"Ah yes James should be able to show you where things are" Fleamont said "good idea Sirius" he patted him on the shoulder and he went back to his study

"So , James I'm thinking of making a cake" she started , the two walking into the kitchen completely clean

"James!" she finished , laughing , both of them covered in flour. The cake was in the oven and James had decided waiting was too boring so he was attempting to make snowballs with flour and throw them at Persephone and they had seemed to work

"Alright , alright" he raised his hands in the air "Peace"

"Peace?"

"Never" he laughed scooping her up like a fireman and running around the room

"We need to get them together" Nic chuckled
